Amsterdam Weekend Guide for October 3, 4 & 5!
The word is out… I quit my job to work on Your Little Black Book full time. To celebrate that I’ll be in Stockholm this weekend to work on a new city guide. But don’t worry there is much going on in Amsterdam this weekend too. Like these 20 new restaurants that opened the last few months. Discover it all in this Amsterdam Weekend Guide!

– What’s better than dinner with your love or friends on the weekend? To inspire you where to go I listed the 20 of the newest restaurants in Amsterdam. Discover them here!
– Foodies check out the Vis & Seizoen festival in Amsterdam West this weekend. A food festival like Taste of Amsterdam, but then dedicated to the best seafood ;-). Try and taste the best from the sea at: G6 (from favs Vis aan de Schelde and Het Bosch), Alaska Seafood and many more other food stalls. Friday October 3 and Saturday October 4.
– Brunch darlings Bennys and Marys host a vintage tea party at Emporium of Wonders on the Zeedijk. Cash only,€ 15,-. Expect: marvellous mimosa’s, milkshakes, tea and a buffet of tea party food -including classic cucumber sandwiches, cloud biscuits, rosewater champagne waffles and courgette custard cakes. – For Friday afternoon drinks the Werkplaats of the Volkshotel is the new place to check out! Drinks start at 5pm. This weekend the beers are from Oedipus!
– Another Friday after work drink at PLLEK! With cocktails for only € 6,50 (yay!) and DJ’s to dance into the weekend!
– It’s October… at that means… Octoberfest! And for the best Bacchanaal in Amsterdam you have to check out Roest. With curry sausage, lederhosen, beers and mehr. Entrance € 4,-.
– Another great spot for Oktoberfest: Brouwerij Troost. Beer and sausages on October 4 and 5.
– This Sunday the Sunday Market is back at Westergasfabriek. A fall market with tasty food and cute crafts. From 12-6 pm.

– For the coolest vintage finds the new Vintage Per Kilo sale in Amsterdam North is the place to be this weekend. All winter clothes at this Wool Edition for € 15,- per kilo. Free parking and entrance.
– Miuse is a new concept store at De Pijp for a collection of beautiful labels for ladies. Gerard Doustaat 80.
– New pop-up in town! At the Pieperboetiek it’s all about potatoes. Yes, this is no joke. More info here!
– 4 stylish pop-up stores in Amsterdam: Zoe Karssen, Things I Like, Things I Love, MP 211 and Gekaapt.
– Anna + Nina, one of my favourite concept stores in Amsterdam opened a 2nd location. More info here.

– The last open air cinema of the season! Driving North at the NDSM Wharf is a very cool drive in cinema where you watch movies on a huge screen sitting in your car. Great for a date! For those who drink too much during the movie there are drivers to bring you home safely. Love the concept! Until October 13. This weekend: Twister, True Romance and Enemy.
– 3 day pop-up expo at Oz. in Amsterdam. Platform 1.1 is a platform where young designers from fashion to art can present themselves in a joint exhibit. Food and drinks by Dikke Lepel. Free entrance! October 3, 4 & 5.
– It’s the first weekend of the month and that means the IJ-hallen are back! Endless searching for unique finds on October 4 and 5 at the NDSM wharf.
– New Sunday market in Amsterdam! De Pijp is one of my fav neighbourhoods in Amsterdam. So many cool new shops opened the doors the last year. Discover them all at the Sunday Markey at the Albert Cuypstraat on October 5.
– The last edition of ‘Bankjes Collectief’ for this season. So open op your own pop-up ‘bench’ in front of your house and invite your friends and neighbours to stop by. Or visit one of the other outdoor pop-up spots. Sunday October 5.
– Tip for dinner and a movie: De Filmhallen at De Hallen go for dinner to Halte 3 or Meat West before the film starts!
– Discover the underworld of Rio de Janeiro at the new photo expo by Steef Fleur called ‘The Other Seleçao’. Until October 25 at gallery Lokatie Laurier.
– Stedelijk museum: Opera in het Stedelijk. Until October 19.
