30 October 2019

Hello winter! What a nice week we’ve had with that cold, but bright sun. Do you already have plans for the weekend? There are so many great markets and hotspots that are opening their doors. And … cheese fondue season has also started again. For those who are into that! I have to say that Amsterdam is becoming very cozy again. And can you believe that the ice rink will be starting on Museumplein again in two weeks? Maybe you have tickets for the Museum Night? Then you want to continue reading for the two routes that we mapped out! No tickets? Don’t worry, because this new Amsterdam Weekend Guide for November 1, 2 and 3 contains enough tips for a wonderful weekend.

❶ This Saturday it is time again for Museum Night, one of the best nightly events of the year. Did you manage to score tickets for this evening? View the two routes that we have mapped out for you to visit our favourite highlights during Museum Night. Check out our routes here >>

❷ Do you want to do something cultural this weekend? Then go to Museum van Loon. Anyway a very nice museum in a beautiful monumental canal house. This weekend is the last chance to see the installation of contemporary artist Stéphanie Saadé. The installation is based and inspired by the 18th-century wallpaper paintings by Jurriaan Andriessen (1742-1819) in the Drakensteyn room of the museum. For Saadé, the literal and metaphorical journeys of the paintings tell a large number of visual stories. When you enter the Drakensteyn room as a visitor, the paintings come to life! You can find Museum van Loon at Keizersgracht 672. Read all about the exposition here >>

| FOODIE TIP: Are you familiar with SurpriSeat? This restaurant platform turns going out to dinner into a real exciting event again. I highly recommend trying this out for a date night. For € 26,50 you can book a 2 course dinner in Amsterdam, Utrecht or Rotterdam. The restaurant you will be eating at is kept secret until a couple hours before dinner time. Want to experience this too? Use the code YLBB to get a € 7,50 discount on a surprise dinner for 2. Read more about it in this blogpost or make a reservation here for your own SurpriSeat >>

Pllek is celebrating its 7.5 year anniversary this weekend. And they do that with a weekend full of fun events! Go to the Pllek tasting on Friday, go to dine & dance on Saturday or enjoy live music on Sunday. For more info check out the Facebook event>>
