Amsterdam Weekend Guide // 10 tips for March 13, 14 & 15

12 March 2020

It feels a bit double. And although I am not at all someone who lives in fear, I find it heartbreaking to see what is happening in the world right now. Maybe it still feels like this won’t affect you too much, for me as a travel blogger it is now seriously getting real. What if in three weeks time we are in the same position as in Italy? I have been making the Amsterdam Weekend Guide for you for eight years, which I fill with the best events in the city. There are hundreds of travel guides for destinations around the world on Your Little Black Book. And as we speak, dozens of new guides are ready from the trips I have made in the past six months. Do they remain ‘on the shelf’ or do they go live? That’s kind of the daily question that keeps me busy at the moment. We canceled travel plans with the whole family, a few trips with only my lover are still on the agenda. But for how long? The interesting thing about all this is that it also gives some kind of rest. I like to see things from the perspective of a glass that is half full. Perhaps (despite all the misery that many people are dealing with right now), this is the massive break we all needed to slow down. And that’s why we are now doing things day by day at Your Little Black Book. If new travel guides go live for destinations where Corona is now, it’s not because I think you should go there now. But because I think that we can all continue to dream. I personally find that anticipation is 50% of the happiness of the trip and I do not want to take it away from you.

If I have learned one thing as an entrepreneur, it is that the most important thing is to follow your heart. And that is why this week your Amsterdam Weekend Guide is online with 10 tips for March 13, 14 & 15. Maybe you SHOULD do something fun this week. Next week it might be 5 tips and the following week it might be a guide with tips for fun things to do AT HOME. Who knows. All I know is that I like to keep playing a role in your weekend and keep giving you tips that you might not have thought of yourself. Happy weekend! Foot kick X, Anne

{ Due to the Coronavirus, I advise everyone that if you want to do something fun, to first check the website and social media of the relevant events to see if there are any changes related to the latest news. }
