Amsterdam Weekend Guide for July 5, 6 & 7

4 July 2019

WOW, how wonderful to see this week how many of you are dealing with the same dilemma as us. How do you find your dream house in Amsterdam? Or should you just relocate to the villages around the city nowadays, because it is almost impossible for starters on the housing market. We have made a final decision! Are we leaving the city, moving within Amsterdam or stripping the whole house and building an extension? You can read it in this extensive blog. Because so many of you are playing with the same dilemma, I am going to create a new series of columns around our renovation. In PART 1 I will take you through our selection process and I will also share all the tips you shared on Instagram Stories this week. Because of the hundreds of responses there, I have decided to make this ‘file’ for you. From the best addresses (in the neighbourhood of Amsterdam) for the most beautiful Moroccan tiles, to the dream kitchen for foodies and tips on how to get that pink wall and that bohemian tapestry even though the bf really doesn’t want them. I also like to share this with you as this will take up much of my time in the coming 6 months and I will be traveling less. That’s why I’m going all in this July and August and it might explain why I’m writing this from the porch of my glamping tent at Arena One 99 Glamping in Istria in Croatia. A very nice place to unwind. More about that soon! First back to the order of the day and the tips for a wonderful weekend in Amsterdam. At the bottom of this guide you will find all the links to our Summer lists! From rooftops, to city beaches, hotspots on the IJ and swimming spots.

Of course I have also listed 10 of the best events for you. Did you already make plans for the weekend? Check out the new Amsterdam Weekend Guide for July 5, 6 + 7. Happy Weekend!
