Hello July! Does this mean that summer is finally starting in Amsterdam? I’m counting on it, because the waiting has been too long for now, right? So cheers to endlessly hot summer nights! Accompanied by your favourite brewers from Holland as well as from other parts of the world. And of course there’s more then food: art, culture and good local food. Cheers!

– An event outside of Amsterdam, but because it’s sooo good we want to share it with you! BBQ in the grassland near Lindenhoff. This event as become a household name for anyone who loves some good food. Think of long dining tables, fire masters who prepare the best lamb-, pork- and beef chops, crusty bread and vegetables from the woodoven, a wine tastery, live music and a bouncy castly for the kids. – Friday it’s already time for the twelfth opening at DOK Amsterdam. And you know what to expect: good music, tasty bites and delicious drinks! Plus of course the great bonfire!
– From Friday to Sunday the Erasmuspark in West is turned into the open air festival Westwaarts. Here you get swinging salsa to South-African soul, hiphop and some jazz. Entrance is free!
– Of course no summer without the ZOOmernights of Artis. This Saturday Max Meser will play!
– This Saturday from 14 hours you can also go to VLLA for some up beat swing music during Rump Funk: The Funky Family Experience. Think graffitim dance and rap workshops. And when the kids are in bed, you can party on ;-) Until 19 hours the entrance is free!
– Yes! This Sunday we can splash again during Badplaats Summer Sessions w/ The Soul Travelers on the rooftop of the Volkshotel. Don’t forget to bring your towel ;-)
– Let’s get loose on Friday and Saturday during the always fun PITCH 2016 festival in the Westerpark!
– Or save your energy for Saturday and go to the first ever edition of Japies Hof at the Jaap Eden icerink. A gastronomical music festival for the whole family :-)
– And then there’s just another festival, but this one’s for all the techno-lovers: Verknipt Festival! This Saturday from 12 hours!
– Sunday you can go to the Oosterpark for some good vibes and culture at the for the Roots Open Air 2016. Thé open air festival as a closure of Roots 2016. Nice stalls, swinging live music and much more!
– But also this Friday you can already partay in the Oosterpark. At Keti Koti the abolition of the Surinamese slavery is celebrated. During the years this has grown into an attractive and extraordinary festival!
– And last but not least: at the Westergasterras you can close the weekend in the most perfect way at Lazy Hipz “Sunday Summer Sessions” W/ Dmitrischenko Free Entrance. For anyone who wants to end the Sunday swinging as well as relaxed. For example, with a drink in one of the beanbags?

– And because Amsterdam looooves Banksy, there’s more. Also the art’otel spreads the love with the exposition Street Art Evolution inspired by Banksy. Until September 30!
