BUTTON WEEKENDGUIDE FOOD– For and by locals: the Local Goods Market! Every two weeks at De Hallen with both food and non-food products

– Ready for a boozy brunch on Sunday? J.D. William’s Whiskey Bar organises a Boogie Brunch with American-style dishes,  whiskey cocktails and DJ’s.

– You can also have brunch at the all day brunch spot Haarlemmerbuurt Guide in Amsterdam Old South!

– Go to T-Dansant à La Cage at the Reguliers for a Sunday brunch 2.0. Scones will be replaced for oysters, your juice will be a cocktail. And you can stay here until late hours and dance the night away.

– Dinner plans? Check out pop-up restaurant IJburg serveert! Home Chef’s prepare delicious 3-course menu’s that are brought to your table by bicycle couriers of Tring Tring. Make sure you make a reservation!

– This Sunday you can stroll around at one of Yourlbb’s favourite markets in Amsterdam: Pure Markt!

– Mossel & Gin is hosting a party this Saturday: De Oester en Gin Fuif! With oysters and gin.

– Looking for a nice restaurant in the city center? We selected 30 of our favourites for you!

–  On the agenda: the Avondmarkt bij Roest (night market)! For food, fashion and music.

– A free open air cinema: West Beach Filmfestival. Till September 20 they show both recent and classic films from The Netherlands and abroad. And no worries about the weather:  with bad weather you just move inside.

– It’s Open Monumentendag (Dutch Heritage Day)this weekend! For the next two days it’s all about historic buildings, monuments and beautiful architecture. Have you always wanted to take a look inside the most distinctive buildings of Amsterdam? This is your chance!

– The last weekend of the Vondelpark Openlucht Theater! With Saturday and Sunday the  Vondelparkse Keuken(kitchen). The theater will be transformed into a big open air restaurant.

– Fun in the Czaar Peterstraat during the Czaar Peter Festival. This Sunday the neighbourhood gathers and of course there’s food and music.

– Food, music, film and theater at Cinémanger. Another open air event, every Thursday and Friday of September in the city center of Amsterdam.

– Haven’t been to the Amsterdam Fringe Festival yet? Good reviews come around like honey so this festival with performances, live art, (music) theater and dance is a must visit this weekend!

– Hanging around with friends? Go to TonTon in de Zon! An outdoor game hall at the Westerpark.

BUTTON WEEKENDGUIDE SHOPPING– Are you look for vintage clothes? Go to the IJ-hallen this weekend! For the best, cheapest second hands.

– This weekend it’s the official opening of the concept store Het Huysraat in De Baarsjes! For the finest designer furniture.

– Another store that’ll help redecorate yours house: Store Without a Home.

– The most delicious perfumes you purchased at the The Fragrance Store!

 

BUTTON WEEKENDGUIDE MUSEUM– Foam opened a new exhibition called E_MERGE! A solo expo  of Anne de Vries from the Hague who combines objects with the newest (media) technology.

– For the fashionista’s among us: there’s a expo the TassenmuseumBlack and White: the dresscode of a life time! Where  black and white bags are the main focus.

– Did you already go to the Tropenmuseum for the expo Secret Love? About the taboo in China around lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgenders (LGBTs). Interesting!

– Live acts, performances and art: this weekend at the Frank Festival Here you will find a mix of different musical styles: from Indie, Jazz and Hip-Hop to Electro.

Magneet Festival is also scheduled for this weekend! If you’re a fan of bands, this is where you should go!

– A festival for charity Orange Babies: Newborn. This cool collaboration with Thuishaven is obviously going to be a success!
