YES, one of the best days of the year is coming around. Oh yes, Kingsday! The weather forecasts are not that good unfortunately, but let’s not let it rain on our parade, right? We’ve already made several lists for you for this day.   1. Lovers of Bloody Mary, this one’s for you! Ketel One is opening a Bloody Mary Pop-Up Bar from April 26 till April 29 with over 40 Bloody Mary’s. The location is still a secret… exciting! Click here for the Facebook event with more info.

  3. Of course we didn’t skip Kingsnight either and also made a party guide for that evening!
  4. At Jansz you can again bring your entire family this Sunday at the Family Sunday. For the parents they have delicious food but they’ve also thought of the kids, as they have an entire entertainment room (with supervision!). Check the Facebook event here.
  5. YOU’LL WANT TO SEE THIS: The “My Name Is Prince” exposition can be visited up until June 8th in the Beurs van Berlage. Read all about this unique exposition on the life of pop legend Prince here >>
  6. Did you go all out on Kingsday and are you now too hungover and tired to do anything else this weekend? Completely understandable of course and that’s why we’ve made a list of the 11 x Netflix series you want to have seen for you!

  9. Let our your inner nightingale at the Duke of Tokyo! They have several booths, for 4 to 25 persons. Nice!
  10. The April parties are happening this weekend at the Nieuwmarkt. Go for a round on the carousel, eat some tapas or just go for a drink: everything is possible. Check the Facebook event here.
  11. NOW OPEN: New seafood hotspot Zeewater has opened its doors on the Noordermarkt!
  12. This Sunday there’s normally not a market, but they’re making an exception this weekend at the Dappermarkt. They’re having the Voorjaarsmarkt then! Nice to do on your free Sunday to take a stroll around the market. Click here for the Facebook event.
  13. This festival is one you don’t want to miss! Camp Moonrise Festival is a new concept that has something for everyone.
  14. Kingsday can be quite a day and at the Metropolitain they understand that completely. That’s why they’re beginning on Saturday morning at 9AM with The Day After. They’re serving, in collaboration with Ketel One Vodka, a breakfast cocktail with wodka and Vitamin C. Super healthy ;-). Check the Facebook event here.
  15. The Sunday Market can be found on the recently renewed Rokin this Sunday. A different location for a change than the Westergasterrein! In the middle of the city, but close to the water, you can find the best items and food items here. Click here for the Facebook event.
  16. To be fair, it’s officially not in the weekend anymore, but I really wanted to share this tip with you: on Monday you can go see the documentary De Wilde Stad in Het Ketelhuis. How? By showing a selfie with your cat at the door. Nice!

  18. At Dichter onder de Tram they have a poet do a reading every two months in the Vondelpark (close to the Van Baerlestraat). This Sunday is the next edition! It starts at 8PM. Check the Facebook event here.
