Amsterdam Weekend Guide for August 9, 10 & 11

8 August 2019

Happy weekend! A weekend that starts very well for us, because we are invited a few nights on Ibiza to come and relax (without baby!) at the new Amare Beach Hotel. An adults-only hotel that has just opened on the other side of the island than where we normally go. And therefore extra fun to see something new! Although the plan is to have some quality time together, and just to ‘do nothing’ and to make a few decisions about the renovation. We will be back in Amsterdam on Sunday and then we will go to the Parade, which will be landing in Amsterdam this weekend. Did you already make plans for the weekend? In this new Amsterdam Weekend Guide for August 9, 10 & 11 augustus I have listed 10 great tips for you. Enjoy!

10 X THE BEST TIPS FOR THIS WEEKEND IN AMSTERDAM

❶ YESSSSSS De Parade is back in Amsterdam and will be officially opening their doors this Friday at 6.30pm. And you know what that means… one of the best Friday afternoon drinks of the year, where you will run into everyone you haven’t seen in a while. Want to find out more? Check out all the info about De Parade here >>

❷ Have you already been to Sjefietshe? This weekend on the Sunday afternoon they are hosting their first event! During their La Fiesta Los Visburger you can come over and taste their new fish burger that is not on the menu yet. And of course you can come for your standard ceviche fix too! They also will be making special frozen margaritas together with Altos Tequila if you needed more reason to come. More info? Check out the Facebook event >>

❸ In the mood for a special night out? The monumental winter garden at the Krasnapolsky hotel is hosting a pop-up diner in an Arab theme. Want to learn more about this? Read all about this unique dining experience here >>

| FOODIE TIP: Last week was our third time having dinner via SurpriSeat. This restaurant platform turns going out to dinner into a real exciting event again. I highly recommend trying this out for a date night. For  € 24,95 you can book a 2 course dinner in Amsterdam or Rotterdam. The restaurant you will be eating at is kept secret until a couple hours before dinner time. Want to experience this too? Use the code YLBB to get a € 7,50 discount on a surprise dinner for 2. Read more about it in this blogpost or make a reservation here for your own SurpriSeat >>

❹ Always fun! This Sunday it is time for the Pure Markt and it’s back at the Amstelpark. With loads of great food stands to shop from or eat at the spot. More info in the Facebook event >>

❺ The Modern Hippie market is back with an open air edition. They are turning the garden over at the Tropen Cafe in Oosterpark into a bohemian market on Sunday Aug 11. Want to learn more? Check out the Facebook event for info and times >>
