Amsterdam weekend guide // 10 tips for January 10, 11 & 12

8 January 2020

This last week was probably all about BACK TO WORK for you too! The mailbox is full again, everyone is back in town, you pick up your sports regime and it is of course the time for New Year’s drinks, breakfasts, brunches and dinners with friends. As you may have read, I am doing Dry January and I must say: the first days when we were traveling in Kuala Lumpur were quite difficult, but now that I am back to work in Amsterdam, things are getting easier for me . Last week we had the New Year’s dinner at Choux with #TEAMYOURLBB and there they also have a fantastic arrangement of special home-made non-alcoholic drinks, which made life a lot easier. In the meantime, there is some hard work going on in our house and hopefully we will be back in our own house in just less than two months. We are busy with the colours for the walls, a new mega large corner sofa and the layout of the walk-in closet. When everything is ready I will give you a room tour! But until then we flee our temporary home in the weekends to do fun things in Amsterdam. In the new Amsterdam Weekend Guide for January 10, 11 & 12 I have again listed 10 tips for you!

New dedicated Instagram account with Amsterdam tips
What else is on the schedule at the start of the year? @yourlbb.amsterdam is LIVE! A dedicated Instagram account where you can find a new tip for Amsterdam every day. Following is sweet! Liking is fun, tagging your friends if you want to go somewhere too, but if you use this account to just lurk (look and silently do something with the tips) that’s also completely fine. This account is there for you and especially for myself so that I can finally post the hundreds of photos of Amsterdam without being ‘punished’ on things like engagement, likes and followers.

Travelkids.co is LIVE
And I have more great news. Last week I worked extra hard on Travelkids.co and the site is LIVE. With a lot of tips that all (new) parents who like to travel would want to know. From packing lists to tips for the plane and from specific destinations to lifestyle items that I use for the little one. You can also follow @travelkids.co on Instagram if you like it!

❼ In 2019 we were able to gulp away many oysters during the happy oyster hours. In 2020 there will be plenty of nice places to score an oyster during the happy hours and this weekend you can score one (or more) at The Good Companion.

The Good Companion // Saturday January 11 from 3 – 5 PM
