Central, affordable and with a great rooftop pool and spa!
So many hotels in Bangkok… from super cheap to super expensive. Where to stay? I recommend to stay at different hotels depending on what you want to do. For a trip to Chinatown the Shanghai Mansion is great, for shopping I can recommend the Amari Watergate hotel. It’s in walking distance from the large malls and close to the skytrain station which takes you to all the other shopping areas in Bangkok.
The Amari Watergate is a nice hotel with super friendly staff and comfortable rooms. And not to forget to mention the breakfast in the executive lounge… Nam nam nam! (Thai for nom nom nom, lol)
I loved the rooftop! The pool is lovely and you have a great view over Bangkok. Perfect for some relaxing after a day of shopping :-).
Another great asset of the Amari Watergate hotel is the Breezes Spa. The mango and sticky rice scrub treatment is a must try! Or spoil yourself with a foot reflex massage.
The restaurant at Amari serves authentic Thai food and is nice if you don’t feel like going out. Although that’s hard to imagine when you’re in bustling Bangkok with cool neighbourhoods like Ari and Ekkemai!
