Ron Blaauw has surrendered his Michelin stars to launch a new restaurant concept: Ron Gastrobar Amsterdam. A new concept without overly complex dishes and overly styled plates. Purer, just like his favorite restaurants cook like: Lille, Wild Boars en Gebr. HarteringAnd those just happen to be my favorite restaurants! So you can imagine I had high expectations for Ron Gastrobar Amsterdam and tested the new concept for you as soon as possible. One thing that has definitely remained unchanged is the excellent service from Ron Blaauw. AmsterdamStart the evening with a glass of bubbly and the delicious bread with caramelized butter—it's delicious! The menu at Ron Gastrobar Amsterdam offers a wide selection of smaller dishes at €15 each. It's recommended to order at least two dishes per person. You'll need to be a light eater then ;-). We ended up ordering four and a dessert, with the excuse to try as many delicious dishes as possible for you. The dishes are served on beautiful tableware in gorgeous colors, making them look even more stunning. But the best part of all, of course, are the delicious (yet stylish) culinary masterpieces at Ron Gastrobar Amsterdam! Recommendations include: risotto, king crab, Wagyu burger, steak tartar, and sweetbreads. And be sure to try the delicious cheeses from cheese queen Betty Koster. Also great: the wines are very affordable!
