True croissant lovers have known for years: croissants are good for so much more than just a dollop of jam or butter. You can use them in so many ways, and Madame Croissant proves that like no other. Here you'll find the tastiest, crispiest, and freshest croissants in town (at least, the Gebroeders Niemeijer ones can handle them too!), all topped with the most delicious toppings. The three founders – Majid Yaman, Kay Weyneurs, and Diana Kaloev – are not French, but of German descent. They've previously opened locations in Cologne, Hamburg, and Karlsruhe, and now it's Amsterdam's turn.

The shop on Hartenstraat (heart of at the center) is bright and the door is always open. In the display case, you'll find the most delicious, freshly made croissants with all sorts of toppings. From sweet to savory and everything in between: you'll find it all at Madame Croissant Amsterdam. The founders and creative minds behind the concept live for croissants, as they say, and that's why they introduce something new almost every month. The most delicious croissants on the menu? Without a doubt, the classic with pistachio, the special with brie, and the summer special with mango. Finger-licking good!

Good news for the vegans among us: Madame Croissant also serves vegan croissants – and they taste just as good as the real deal. Yet another reason to go, then.
