Where Van 't Spit once stood on Frans Halsstraat, you'll now find Juno Restaurant Amsterdam. Same owners, but a new concept. A recent fire in the kitchen proved the perfect opportunity to change course. The starting point? A restaurant the owners themselves would also enjoy. A place where phones are generally avoided, there's no Wi-Fi (the reception is poor), and there are no influencer collaborations. So, what does exist? A cozy atmosphere, a vinyl bar, delicious food, and superb wines.

Ambience and interior at Juno Restaurant Amsterdam
Juno Amsterdam is Amsterdam's first "music restaurant." We're all familiar with listening bars – imported from Japan – but a music restaurant is new. One of the owners came up with the idea spontaneously and knew immediately that this was the place to be.
With this new concept, they're aiming to attract the over-30s and steer clear of the younger, social media-savvy generation. It's a place where you can enjoy yourself without worrying about whether you or your dinner look good in photos.
The spacious room is furnished with several high and low tables, and you can dine at the bar. In spring, the terrace opens, where you can enjoy the sun from 16.00 p.m. At the back of the restaurant is the vinyl bar, which is actually the backbone of the concept, although it's all about good food and wine.

Snacks, bites, and main courses: Juno has something for everyone – whether you enjoy shared dining or prefer to create your own plate. When it comes to snacks, the eggplant croquettes are a hit. The tiger prawns and sweet potato tacos are also popular. Risotto and bavette are also on the menu. The Peruvian chef doesn't shy away from a challenge; his cuisine is a true jack of all trades. He previously worked at a three-Michelin-star restaurant and has worked with ingredients and dishes from various regions – and you can taste it.
The wine list is extensive, and there's no shortage of cocktails either. Besides their signature cocktails, they can create a drink based on your taste and preferences.

On Sundays, you can enjoy brunch at Juno until late—a brunch that might even lead to a relaxed get-together. They also have an extensive drinks and dinner menu, perfect for a relaxed evening with no set time.

First of all: thank you for being here to close out 2025 <3.
2025, you were everything I hoped you would be and more. So many new memories.
I don't yet know what 2026 will bring, but last year was one for the books. Highlights included trips to China, Mexico City, Egypt, and exploring the English countryside.
Entrepreneurs probably recognize that 2025 was not an easy year.
When I started Your Little Black Book, I had one dream: not to work to stay somewhere for free in exchange for content and the pressure of a "picture perfect" experience. But to use my revenue models to book and experience those special places myself, as a guest instead of an influencer, and to give you honest tips.
After almost 15 years of entrepreneurship, I'm so happy with the balance between editorial and commercial work and that I can also say no to things that don't feel right.
At the same time, it's still special that destinations, airlines, and hotels hire me to create a customized Little Black Book for them. I have complete freedom with these campaigns, and I believe in the value of these content-based tips that truly suit your taste. And they come from me personally, not from a machine.

This will always be my dream job, the one I created almost 15 years ago. I still do as much as possible myself. That's energizing—from both successes and failures.

This is the coolest new hotel for a night away! Meet @viaantwerp, Antwerp's newest boutique hotel on the border of Zurenborg and Borgerhout (yep, voted the 2nd coolest neighborhood in the world by Time Out).
I recently stayed at this gem, and it truly has it all: a lively bar with a cozy atmosphere, walls adorned with creative art, beautiful, bright rooms, and it's within walking distance of great hotspots. And I haven't even mentioned @mea.antwerp! The delightful restaurant, helmed by a chef who previously worked at The Palomar in London. If you know, you know!
