Canary Club Amsterdam is the new all-that spot in West

The people behind the Foodhallen in Amsterdam West are certainly not sitting idle after the opening. The Kanarie Club in Amsterdam is the new hotspot where you can go from early morning until late at night. Meat West and Halte 3 have made way for this new hospitality concept, where everything is focused on "next-generation hospitality." And that means the Kanarie Club has a wide range of options. The club will be a place where you can eat, work, drink, and dance.

This way, early risers can wake up peacefully with breakfast and a cup of coffee. Hard workers can use the various work facilities, and drinkers can relax at the enormous central bar and sample one of the many local beers. Not a beer fan? Kanarie Club Amsterdam also serves cocktails. And the best place to enjoy them is on the upper deck, where you can sit in a sunken seating area resembling a swimming pool.

Now, you might not immediately think of fine dining for the evening menu when you think of an all-day hotspot like this. But nothing could be further from the truth. The concept is a 3 to 5 course menu With a choice of appetizer, side dish, main course, cheese, and sweet, depending on your appetite. For most dishes, you can choose from three options, one of which is always vegetarian. There's also a special children's menu, by the way, so feel free to bring the kids.

The Kanarie Club opens at 8:30 a.m. during the week and at 9:30 a.m. on weekends. I was there to sample the food and enjoyed a delicious three-course meal with mackerel as a starter, veal cheek for the main course, and a chocolate explosion for dessert. It was delicious!
