Bakhuys Amsterdam for coffee and freshly baked bread

Bakhuys Amsterdam is a new cafe on Sarphatistraat in Amsterdam East Opposite the tram stop at Sarphatiplein. This "Bakhuys" houses a bakery with coffee and a lunchroom. I recently went there for coffee and lunch with a friend. The space has been renovated in a fantastic way, and you can see straight into the bakery from the canteen-like space. A real asset for Amsterdam Oost to get freshly baked bread!

For lunch, Bakhuys offers a variety of sandwiches and quiches. I'll have to go back to re-evaluate the lunch menu when they're open a bit longer, as I wasn't entirely impressed with the chorizo ​​quiche. But this new spot definitely has a coffee recommendation. You can also get it to go or enjoy it at the coffee bar. The pastries looked delicious, so the next time I take tram 9 or 10 into town, I'll definitely try them.
