Rooftop Movie Nights

Settle into a beanbag chair or loveseat and enjoy the view of beautiful Amsterdam together, and of course, the movie. Sometimes a film is announced in advance, sometimes it's a surprise. Keep an eye on the website for new dates! The first dates are online again, in the garden at Hotel Arena and on the rooftop at Leonardo Hotels.

Movies at H'ART Museum

Perhaps the most romantic open-air cinema in Amsterdam. The courtyard of the H'ART Museum Amsterdam is opening its doors for the fourth edition of Movies at H'ART (formerly Movies at the Hermitage). During the last two weeks of August, several award-winning films will be shown. August offers a wealth of great films to watch.

Seize the Night Film Festival

One of the best open-air cinemas in the summer is Pluk de Nacht at the Stenen Hoofd on the IJ river. Relax in a beach chair and enjoy films that aren't usually shown in the Netherlands because they're too small, too crazy, too experimental, or too extravagant. This event takes place from August 20th to 30th.

Sunsets at Eye

The Eye Museum building also hosts enjoyable movie nights this summer, showcasing films from various Eye programs. Whether the event will be held again in 2025 is still unknown, but we'll keep an eye on it!
