7 x the most fun things to do during A Day at the Park

Every year there are always a few festivals that you definitely dont want to miss. For me that’s for example A Day at the Park in the Amsterdam Forest. This year on July 11th, so clear your schedule on that day! The line-up is always good here, the atmosphere is great but they also put a lot of effort into other activities and events at the festival. Because A Day at the Park si more than just a couple of stages with DJs! From food trucks to a festival market. And from art to culture.

You really can’t not have creative activities and events at a festival if you ask us. We want more than just dancing until the sun goes doen! Delicious food, some theater, having silly moments. And to make sure you don’t miss anything from these other activities and events, we have listed the 7 tips for things you can’t miss at A Day at the Park for you. Have fun!

1 >> Electronic beasty crowd >> A Day at the Park

Don’t be scared if you find yourself next to a bunny, llama or goat in the Amsterdam Forest! Because the forest is going to be transformed into a children’s farm where performers are going to be walking around with electronic masks on. And also fun: as a visitor you can control those masks with a special remote!

2 >> Feasting at the foodstalls >> A Day at the Park

The food line-up of festivals are getting more important each year. We don’t want to only dance, but we also want to enjoy some good food too! This year you can for example sip on cocktails at The Fabulous Shaker Boys and eat a steak at the one and only restaurant Loetje. That makes us really happy! A Day at the Park will keep announcing more caterers until the day of the festival, so keep checking the website for that. In the meantime I can already tell you that you can eat French delicacies at Souvenirs de France, burgers and tortillas at Kok au Van, waffles at Wafel & Co and Scroppino’s at the famous Scroppinobus!

3 >> Dancing at the Klompendisco >> A Day at the Park

Imagine this: a container full with hay, crazy tunes and farm-y fun. Now all you have to do is put your clogs on and do a little dance at the Klompendisco from A Day at the Park! Of course you’re also welcome to come here without your clogs ;-).

4 >> Shopping at the festival market >> A Day at the Park

Leave your festival accessories at home and go shopping at the festival market at A Day at the Park! This year they’re working together with Indie Brands so you can get the cutest bracelets, sunglasses and flowers to put in your hair.

5 >> Grabble at Graaicultuur >> A Day at the Park

Remember when you were younger that you’d grabble for toys at the fair? Now that’s also possible at A Day at the Park! Grabble your festival gadget and other fun stuff at the festival. Or let your lover grabble something for you ;-). But there’s more! Inside the fair truck there seems to be some sort of party going on. Will you find out how to get in there?

6 >> Can you choose from the five stages? >> A Day at the Park

A Day at the Park has now announced the complete line-up already. And they have said that there will be five stages this year! Of course there’s the original stages Park Stage and Under the Radar. But there are also two new stages: the Flow Stage with the best deep house and The Playground where we could for example dance with Kris Kross. Stage five is from the friends of Buddha to Buddha. Where are you going to be?

The moment when the music goes off, the lamps go on and the security asks you to leave. It’s always a weird moment, the end of a festival. A Day at the Park has thought of something for that. They’re probably going to close the night with a beautiful final performance. Something with a very big dress. We won’t spoil the rest!
