Every day there’s that question: what to wear? A wardrobe filled with clothes and never that exact item you’re looking for. Sounds familiar right? ;-) And that only means one thing. It’s time for a shopping spree! And come one: who doesn’t get happy from a new dress, pair of jeans or shoes? In Amsterdam there are so many cute shops at for example the Nine Streets or the Gerard Doustraat where you can buy really cool things. But shopping is even more fun when you do it at a fashion city! Discover this shortlist for 5 fashion cities to shop your new wardrobe at!

KLM-milaan

Milan. The city that’s considered one of the most important fashion cities of the world. If you want to shop a new wardrobe then you must book a city trip to this city! There are plenty of shops in the city center. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is a nice street with loads of shops, from high end to more commercialised fashion brands. Or go to Corso Venetia and the Corso Buenos Aires for cute boutiques that you really can’t find anywhere else. Tip: for the real fashion bargains, go to the outlet Il Salvagente!

On the list with the fashion cities, Paris obviously can’t be missing. Chanel, Dior, Hermès… all from le douce France. It’s unbelievable how many designer brands were founded here. Aside from all the famous and established designer brands, you can also shop vintage in Paris. Especially in the neighbourhood of Hôtel de Ville (the city hall of Paris) there are a lot of nice boutiques. Get your best purchases here armed with a cup of coffee and a croissant.

Urban Outfitters, Topshop and River Island. All English fashion brands that are nowadays also very popular in the Netherlands. And there are many more! So it’s probably quite easy to imagine that there’s a whole lot more pretty to find in London. Of course you can always shop at the famous Oxford Street. Or go to Westfield to shop in one of the biggest shopping malls in Europe. For more unique findings you must check out Boxpark. So whatever you’re looking for: London is always a good idea for shopping!

Black and white outfits, the manbun and as minimalistic as possible. I’m obviously talking about the so-called hipster look that is actually quite mainstream in Stockholm. Everyone looks so trendy and fashionable here! So it’s the perfect place to shop for a few new outfits. In this city you can find the most hip fashion items at Södermalm and especially in the neighbourhood of SoFo. Also a great neighbourhood for Swedish coffee!

New York: the city that never sleeps. And the fashion in New York is also really on point. Imagine this: all those American fashion brands that you know. But then with bigger collections and also a lot cheaper. What the places are to shop? You can pretty much shop anywhere in New York. But definitely check out Lower Broadway or SoHo.
