48 Hours in Ibiza – Travel Guide

48 Hours in Ibiza Travel Guide

I LOVE summer! So when you voted me to Ibiza  with Cheaptickets.nl I jumped for joy. After 13 years (!) finally back to this sunny island in the Mediterranean. And I have to say: Ibiza is also a wonderful destination for a weekend break! In this Ibiza Travel Guide you will find a selection of the nicest hotspots of Ibiza.

For a weekend of beach fun, EAT, SLEEP, RAVE, REPEAT, Ibiza is highly recommended. Even better is a week-long trip, visiting a different beach every day to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Ibiza It's beautiful and more than just the luxurious beach clubs and parties at Ushuaia. It offers the best of both worlds, and you can make it as crazy and wild as you like.

A fun video was made about my trip to Ibiza that perfectly captures the atmosphere. Watch it here:

Day 1 – Ibiza Travel Guide

After a 2,5-hour flight, you'll be in Ibiza. If you book in advance, you'll still have plenty of options for the best times and direct flights. We quickly check in at our hotel, put on our island-ready outfits, and take the car to Cotton Beach Club to enjoy a delicious cocktail with our feet in the sand. This is the good life!

Cotton Beach Club – Cala Tarida beach
Cotton Beach Club is a super beautiful and luxurious beach club on the northern side of Ibiza. Highly recommended if you want to relax on the beach for a day. The pristine white interior of Cotton Beach Club It sparkles in the bright sun. Just a few hours on the island and you'll feel like you've been away for days. It's truly wonderful to look out over the azure sea!

Chances are, if you're going to Ibiza, you can just meet up with your friends from Amsterdam :-). Later that evening, we'll have a nice dinner at La Paloma with our dear friends who are spending the summer in Ibiza. What's better than enjoying the good life with good friends?

La Paloma Ibiza

La Paloma – C/ Can Pou, 4, Sant Joan de Labritja
La Paloma is a must-visit for lunch or dinner. A super cute Italian restaurant in Ibiza, right in the center of the island. La Paloma Many locals and Ibiza locals come here (thanks, dear followers, for this great tip!). The food is fantastic, and since we can't choose, we share several appetizers. The antipasto and caprese salad are delicious starters. For the main course, I order two more appetizers: the oven-baked eggplant and the sardine sashimi. So delicious!

It's so nice to see each other again in Ibiza! After a few bottles of wine, it's unfortunately time to take a taxi back to the hotel. The next day, we're up early again to film in Ibiza Town.

Day 2 – Ibiza Travel Guide

From the hotel, we'll take the water taxi to Ibiza Town. It's cheaper than a regular taxi, and it's a fun ride too! If you're looking for shopping in Ibiza, you'll find most Spanish brands and lots of small boutiques with Ibiza-style clothing and jewelry. The narrow streets and charming squares create a lovely atmosphere!

Croissant Show – Plaça de la Constitució 2 – Ibiza Town
The best spot in Ibiza Town to have breakfast is Croissant ShowThey have the best croissants on the island here. A more Spanish-inspired breakfast is also an option! We're going for the toast with olive oil, tomato spread, and ham. We'll definitely eat croissants in Paris ;-). I'll happily order a Frappuccino with it, as it's 37 degrees Celsius today. Bloody hot! Luckily, I brought my hat, which I've made Ibiza-proof with the headbands from MOST Wanted (you can find these in Ibiza at the Hippie Market in Las Dalias).

Ibiza Town is a great place to wander around. Hike up the old city walls for stunning views of the sea and the city. In the evening, the city comes even more to life, and everything is beautifully lit.

La Brasa – Carrer de Pere Sala 3 – Ibiza Town
La Brasa is a great place for lunch or dinner. Here you'll find delicious tapas and other dishes that are perfect for sharing with the whole table. La Brasa You'll be sitting in a beautiful green courtyard under the trees. Very atmospheric! Especially when the trees are all lit up in the evening.

We're strolling along the harbor of Ibiza. There are so many boats moored here! It's always fun to wonder which stars are vacationing there.

Passion Cafe – Paseo Juan Carlos Primero 23 – Marina Ibiza Town
At the marina in Ibiza Town, you can enjoy a delicious meal at Passion Cafe. There are several locations on the island, including one in Playa d'en Bossa. All food at Passion Cafe It's organic, and the menu is full of delicious, healthy dishes. That makes us happy! Order one of the delicious homemade lemonades served in a Mason jar. I order the quinoa and feta fritters with a mint yogurt dip. So delicious!

After exploring Ibiza Town, it's time to hang out with our friends by the pool at their villa. I want to stay in Ibiza and never go home. Plop, we pop open another bottle of champagne to celebrate! Now that's what I call a perfect drink.

Nikky Beach – Av S Argamassa, Santa Eulalia del Río
Nikky Beach Ibiza has only been open for a few days. So, it's a real first to dine there already! The menu is international with an Asian twist. The sushi is fantastic! We ordered a couple of Dragon sushi platters—truly delicious. Nikky Beach Ibiza is also a great daytime destination. Relax on a lounger by the pool or on the beach. And for those who can afford it: Nikky Beach Ibiza is located at the recently opened ME hotel (5 stars), which also has a lovely rooftop bar.

Babylon Beach Bar – Santa Eulalia Del Río
After dinner we'll have a drink at Babylon Beach Club (in the bay next to Nikky Beach). Babylon Beach Club It's a great place to relax all day long. Rent a sunbed during the day and dive into the clear water from the jetty. Or, like us, enjoy a drink in the evening before heading out clubbing!

Day 3 – Ibiza Travel Guide

If you want to see more of Ibiza, it's a good idea to rent a car. That way, you can still do something fun on your departure day! Las Salinas beach (also known as Ses Salines) is located near the airport. Ibiza airport is small, and if you leave the beach well in advance, you'll be there in plenty of time.

Sa Trinxa – Ses Salines beach
Don't expect a quiet beach at Ses Salines beach during peak season. In summer, it gets busy. Very BUSY! There are several beach clubs where you can rent sunbeds, such as Malibu Beach Club and Jockey Beach Club. We think Sa Trinxa The most relaxed beach bar boy is Ses Salines beach. It's a bit quieter because it's right at the end of the beach. Sa Trinxa is the perfect place to relax! Enjoy the sun and the warm sea with a cold beer. Perfect island life!

From Ses Salines beach you can reach the airport in 10 minutes.

Bye, bye Ibiza! I'll be back soon :-).
