Ben je op zoek naar de mooiste vakantiehuizen in Nederland? Ik ben druk bezig om voor jullie alle pareltjes op een rij te zetten voor een heerlijke vakantie in eigen land. Zo maakte ik al een lijstje met 24 logeeradressen in Zeeland waar het heel erg goed toeven is. Tot een paar jaar geleden was ik zelf vooral een boeker van boetiekhotels, maar sinds de geboorte van Manuel (die inmiddels alweer drie is) merk ik hoe fijn het is om een huisje te boeken in plaats van een hotel. Meer privacy, zelf beslissen of je thuis iets lekkers gaat koken of uit eten gaat, meer ruimte voor rondrennende kids, een zithoek om jezelf met een goed boek terug te trekken én de mogelijkheid om bij mooi weer lekker buiten te zijn.

Ice cream date, anyone?
One of the newest openings at Amstel1 is De Boule De Boule, an ice cream and pastry parlour just behind Waterlooplein. After trying it, I can confirm: the ice cream is really, really good.
𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗩𝗜𝗕𝗘
After seeing their Instagram, you might think of places like Folderol in Paris, the spot that became famous for pairing ice cream with wine.
But De Boule De Boule feels different. Less destination wine bar, more day-time neighbourhood café where you can stop by for homemade ice cream, a pastry, coffee and, yes, a glass of wine.
Inside you’ll find shelves filled with vinyl records, a display of freshly made ice cream and homemade pastries crafted by two in-house pastry chefs.
𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗥𝗢𝗪𝗗
Amstel1 is still being discovered by Amsterdam and it was a little quiet during our visit. I expect the vibe to only get better as more shops open and people find their way here. I’m especially curious to see how it feels this weekend with the market taking over the area for the first full weekend. This covered location with a courtyard feel is incredibly promising.

• Olive oil & basil ice cream with sea salt
• Chocolate ice cream with hazelnut topping
• Paired with a glass of Chardonnay and an orange wine.
All of the ice cream is made in-house and completely vegan. If nobody had told me, I honestly wouldn’t have guessed.
𝗪𝗛𝗬 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗧𝗟𝗘 𝗕𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗞 𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗞 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗦 𝗜𝗧
The ice cream is excellent, but what makes De Boule De Boule interesting is that it’s more than an ice cream shop. It’s a place for coffee, pastries, a glass of wine or drinks after a performance at the Stopera.
And yes, I’m already planning to go back to try more flavours, but next time in the evening for a dessert after dinner elsewhere. Just to see how the space changes throughout the day. What I would order then? Very curious about the White Coffee ice-cream!

Hello June!
The first weekend of the month is looking very good if you ask me. Think wine festivals, vintage markets, oysters, live jazz, street art and a ridiculous amount of new restaurants to put on your radar.
This weekend I’m especially excited about Bacchus Wine Festival in the Amsterdamse Bos, Sunday Market at Westergas, the oysters & brocante afternoon at Le French Café and Red Light Jazz taking over hidden venues across the city centre.
Also fun: STRAAT Museum is hosting its first Women in Street Art Weekend at the NDSM-werf, Fort Negen is bringing back its cult-favourite pizza pop-up for two nights only, and if you’re heading to Noord anyway, it’s your last chance to cycle through Amsterdam’s Oatly Bike Thru before it disappears on June 7.
And for those always looking for new places to try: The Jollof Club, Café de Vos, Bar How and the terrace of Monne (right on the Amstel!), are all brand new and worth knowing about.

And in Noord you’ll want to stay all day, because Stripfest is taking over the Hamerkwartier with food, music, workshops and parties at spots like FC Hyena, Skatecafé and Oedipus.

Life lately.
Soms heb ik van die momenten waarop ik even stilsta bij hoe bijzonder dit allemaal eigenlijk is.
Dat ik ruim 14 jaar geleden begon met een blog waarop ik gewoon mijn favoriete adressen wilde delen. Dat Your Little Black Book inmiddels zoveel mensen inspireert om nieuwe plekken te ontdekken. En dat ik nog steeds nieuwe bestemmingen mag verkennen, zoals deze maand Taiwan.
Wat ik misschien nog wel het leukste vind? Dat jullie overal met me mee naartoe gaan. Naar nieuwe restaurants, hotels, steden en landen. Maar ook naar de meer persoonlijke momenten tussendoor.

Another long weekend and honestly… Amsterdam is really showing off right now.
This Pinkster weekend is packed with festivals, food markets, and summer events all over the city. Think Asian street food at Art of Taste on Museumplein, four days of Lepeltje Lepeltje at the NDSM-werf, and so much more.
Also on my mom radar this weekend: family festival GOLD at the Amsterdamse Bostheater, Ridderweekend at Muiderslot, and Pinksterweekend at Jeugdland Amsterdam.

Zo van de airport door naar dit zaakje om soup dumplings en zó veel meer te proeven! Dat is wat ik noem een soft landing 😉 <3
In Taipei ga je naar een Soy Milk Shop voor ontbijt. Warme soy milk die je eet in een bowl en stoommandjes met de lekkerste dumplings en baozi’s. Je kunt mij echt wakker maken voor dit soort ontbijtjes. Deze lokale ontbijttentjes komen in alle soorten en maten, van Michelin-recommended adressen tot hole-in-the-wall-kraampjes.
De meeste soy milk shops zijn al vroeg (en soms zelfs 24 uur per dag) open en dit zijn de gerechten die je wilt proeven:

Kortom: ik ben óm en daarom heb ik voor jullie alle websites die ik ken verzameld om de leukste vakantiehuizen in Nederland te boeken, voor jouw volgende staycation. Om het je nog makkelijker te maken heb ik er ook direct bij gezet voor welk type huisjes je er aan het goede adres bent. Wat denk je bijvoorbeeld van logeren in een safari-tent, tiny house, luxe villa, strandhuisje of huisje midden in de natuur? Lees snel verder waar je jouw zoektocht kunt beginnen. 15 X de mooiste vakantiehuizen in Nederland huren
Dutchen: Boek je een vakantiehuis via Dutchen, dan weet je dat je een op-en-top luxe vakantiehuis boekt op de mooiste plekken in Nederland. Je vindt de villa’s op kleinschalige vakantieparken langs de kust, op de Wadden en bij prachtige natuurgebieden. En denk bij het woord vakantiepark niet aan wat je misschien kent van vroeger. Ik ben zelf bij Dutchen geweest en het voelt eerder als een compound met verschillende duurzame en luxe villa’s met een gedeelde poort en privéparkeerplaats. Logeer je hier dan heb je het gevoel alsof je in je tweede huis bent. Met een compleet uitgeruste keuken met goede spullen om zelf lekker te koken, een buitenkeuken, slaapkamers met eigen badkamer en als je wilt zelfs een eigen hottub en sauna! Wij logeerden in Dutchen bij Schoorl, waar ze meerdere locaties hebben. Verder vind je Dutchen onder andere in: ’t Gooi, op Texel en op Ameland, in Groningen en in Drenthe. Het leuke van dit jonge bedrijf is dat het volop in beweging is en de komende jaren worden er nog veel meer mooie parken geopend, waaronder op Curaçao en Scandinavië.
Natuurhuisje: Er even helemaal uit? De natuur in en logeren op een plek waar soms zelfs geen wifi is? Via Natuurhuisje vind je huisjes omgeven door groen waar je écht tot rust komt. De huisjes zijn soms iets eenvoudiger qua opzet, maar juist die kneuterigheid geeft het enorm veel charme. Wat ik persoonlijk fijn vind aan deze website is dat je er ook kunt zoeken op vakantiehuizen in Nederland die niet op een vakantiepark staan en dus uniek zijn in hun opzet. Daarnaast kun je bijvoorbeeld selecteren op vakantiehuizen die duurzaam zijn opgezet, in de middle of nowhere liggen, in het bos of juist aan zee. Ben je op zoek naar echt bijzondere accommodatie? Natuurhuisje heeft bijvoorbeeld ook boomhutten, glamping accommodatie, tiny houses en meer.

Beach houses via De Roompot: Ben je net als ik in de eighties geboren en je werkt niet net als ik in de reisbranche, dan is de kans groot dat je even gemist hebt dat je de Roompot een enorme verandering heeft doorgemaakt en dat je daar nu de allercoolste strandhuisjes kunt boeken. Yes, je leest het goed… logeren op het strand in je eigen beach house. Via De Roompot boek je ook de super mooie vakantiehuizen van Largo. Denk aan strandhuisjes op het strand van Vlissingen en Kijkduin bij Den Haag.
Booking.com: Ok, ok, natuurlijk ken je deze website. Maar ben je op zoek naar een vakantiehuis, gebruik dan eens die filter en je ontdekt mooie particuliere huizen óf huizen die wel op een park liggen en last minute worden aangeboden. In plaats van alle afzonderlijke websites af te gaan vind je hier heel veel vakantiehuizen van verschillende aanbieders bij elkaar als je op een specifieke bestemming in Nederland zoekt. Zelf gebruik ik Booking.com eigenlijk altijd als ik op zoek ben naar leuke appartementen in een stad. Dus ook als je een vakantiehuis zoekt in de leukste Nederlandse steden is dit mijn vaste website om te gebruiken. Al ben je er ook aan het goede adres voor pareltjes zoals Bosvilla Kennemerduinen dat juist niet in de stad ligt.
Beekse Bergen: Hoe leuk was dit als kind? Nu ik zelf moeder ben weet ik hoe leuk het is om je eigen jeugdherinneringen weer opnieuw te beleven. Bij de Beekse Bergen hebben ze sinds vorig jaar een prachtig resort met vakantiehuisjes waarbij je letterlijk uit je tuin zo op de giraffen kijkt. Magisch voor de kids, maar stiekem ook heel leuk voor jezelf.

Een Vakantiehuisje: Deze website gebruik ik om te speuren naar het perfecte huisje als we bijvoorbeeld een vakantiehuis zoeken dat geschikt is voor een familieweekend. Ze hebben een groot aanbod op de Veluwe en dat vind ik persoonlijk een hele fijne omgeving omdat er veel verschillende dingen te doen zijn. Je kunt via deze website handig zoeken op groepsaccommodaties, maar ook filteren op verschillende dorpen en steden rond de Veluwe.

Glampings.com: Eerlijk is eerlijk. Ik ben geen fan van kamperen in een klein tentje. Glampen in een leuke accommodatie daarentegen vind ik geweldig. Van safaritenten, tot tipis en yurts, via de website Glamping kun je de leukste logeeradressen in Nederland (en ook daarbuiten). Tip: pak voor ’s avonds ook lekkere dikke kleren in zodat je lang buiten kunt blijven zitten.
Landal: Eén van de bekendere vakantieparken met accommodaties door heel Nederland. Goed om te weten: nog niet zo lang geleden hebben ze de mooie strandvilla’s overgenomen aan het strand bij Hoek van Holland (bekijk ze hier). Ik kwam eens op hun website terecht toen ik op zoek was naar leuke huisjes rond de Veluwe. Je zou hun Park Miggelenberg eens kunnen bekijken in dat geval. Landal staat er om bekend dat hun parken in een groene omgeving liggen.
Onthaasten in de Achterhoek: Ik heb mij voorgenomen om deze zomer naar plekken in Nederland te gaan waar ik nog niet zo vaak geweest ben. Ik noem maar even: de achterhoek, Drenthe en Friesland. In mijn zoektocht naar leuke vakantiehuisjes kwam ik de website Onthaastenindeachterhoek.nl tegen. Daar boek je wellness vakantiehuisjes met Finse sauna en hottub. Hoe fijn klinkt dat?

Europarcs (voorheen Droomparken): Ik logeerde al eens in verschillende tiny houses van Droomparken en ik vind het zo’n dikke aanrader als je met zijn tweetjes bent of een babytje. Doordat ik er zelf ook wel eens heb gelogeerd (zowel in een tiny house op Droompark De Zanding op de Veluwe als in een tiny house op Droompark Bad Hoophuizen aan het Veluwemeer) heb ik de afgelopen jaren een beetje gevolgd wat ze allemaal hebben ontwikkeld. Wat ik erg leuk vind om te zien is dat ze heel erg op het smaakgevoel van nu zitten met hun nieuwe concepten en echt zorgen voor bijzondere overnachtingen in bijvoorbeeld een loft, een beach house en hun nieuwe buitenhuis dat ook heel leuk is ingericht. Enfin, je moet zelf maar even een kijkje nemen!
ANNA Cabin: Verliefd geworden op het plaatje in de header van deze blog? SNAP IK! Ik heb zelf namelijk voordat ik dit artikel van een update heb voorzien nog snel geboekt voor december. Het verhaal achter deze huisjes is minstens zo bijzonder als ze eruit zien. In de winter heerlijk knus, in de zomer kun je het huisje helemaal openschuiven. Gelegen in de natuur en ook leuk met kids, er is een groot tweepersoonsbed onder het glazen dak en een bed op de vide.
