Filter: This nice coffeebar is right next to Artis and a definite favorite. Why? Because they serve coffee from White Label and have really tasty cakes, muffins, and brownies. All made from local, organic products. Officially not East… but it’s the East side of the Center ;-).

Louie Louie: Louie Louie is the all day cafe in Amsterdam East where you don’t just want to order a coffee. For a delicious breakfast or lunch you’re also at the right address here. What do you think about a sandwich with pastrami and sauerkraut?

Café de Tropen: In the mood for a coffee after your visit in the Tropenmuseum? Then go to Café de Tropen. Tip: when it’s summer you can enjoy the sun on their lovely terrace.

Clubkoffie: For the best coffee and delicious sandwiches in East! And, is there anyone who doesn’t think clubsandwiches and coffee are a good combo?

Boterham: Boterham is good for drinking coffee and to shop. Here you can have breakfast/lunch with sandwiches and cappuccino’s while shopping cute accessories.

De Plantage: Restaurant De Plantage, next to the zoo, is one of our favorite spots to grab a bite to eat in the evening. But the coffee there also makes us really happy. Actually, everything at De Plantage makes us happy.

Spirit: At Spirit you can order coffee and a coffee-caramel cake (so good). Or the chocolate cake, oatcookie, or orange-blueberry cake, or well, everything really.

Bar Botanique: Bar Botanique is the topical garden of Amsterdam East. And the place where you’ll want to order a coffee, lunch, or even dinner.

Stooker: This coffee-roasting company is only open for the public on Saturday. Great for the real coffee lovers.

Rum Baba: You’ll find this spot in the Transvaalbuurt in East. Besides delicious coffee from Brazil at Rum Baba, you can also get the best cakes!

Hartje Oost: Shopping, coffee and tasty food! At the concept store Hartje Oost they sell handmade, vintage and selfmade items. And apart from that you can also order homemade dishes and good coffee.

Bedford Stuyvesant: A very relaxed coffee hotspot on the Javastraat. Bedford Stuyvesant is perfect to meet up with friends and spend the day drinking coffee. In the summer it’s nice to sit on the small terrace in the sun all day.

Coffee Bru: Coffee Bru on Beukenplein for specialty coffee, cakes and lunch. Looking for a working spot with good coffee? This is your place to be!

Bakhuys: A nice coffee lunchroom in a canteen setting. You can also get freshly baked bread here!

Beter & Leuk: This cozy living room (coffee) café around the corner of the Wibautstraat is also vegan proof! So, perfect for drinking coffee and eating healthy food. Want to shop? This concept café sells items of Things I Love Things I Like and The Darlings.

East57: Coffee to go or to stay, whatever you prefer! And East57 is also perfect for the early birds among us, because they open at 7am. Perfect!

Stek: A real hipster hotspot at the Wibautstraat where you can enjoy breakfast all day and drink the best coffee. During the summer Stek is an extra nice spot because they have a sunny terrace. Who doesn’t love drinking iced coffee in the sun?

Doordeweeks: A concept store with vintage items and good coffee! Here they sell the nicest clothes, furniture, accessories and art of both known and unknown (young) designers. Would you like a coffee to drink at ease? They serve coffee of White Label!

Roost: This little coffee shop is behind the OLVG. Order a croissant with your morning coffee because it sure tastes delicious!
