Babylonstoren Cape Town: vineyard and restaurant

14 July 2015

Babylonstoren Cape Town is PARADISE ON EARTH

If you’re in Cape Town, then go have lunch and do some wine tasting at Babylonstoren in Stellenbosch. This property is from the chief editor from the African Vogue and trust me… you can definitely tell! Wander around in the vineyard and gardens, relax on the grass with a view on the chickens and donkeys and go shopping in the farm shop. When you’re in Cape Town for a city trip this hotspot is a gem not to miss!

The next time I’m going to Cape Town, I’ll definitely try to book a night there so I can experience it myself.

Lunch x Babylonstoren

Do you want to have lunch at Babylonstoren? Then book a table right after you’ve booked your tickets. They’re usually always fully booked when you try to get a table last-minute. The kitchen garden at the restaurant is maintained really well and looks so nice en the food is farm to table. Great for lunch or brunch during the weekend. The restaurant closes at 4 in the afternoon.

Wine tasting x Babylonstoren

If you like to do wine tasting so you can be a little bit funny afterwards (yes, you’re talking to a non-spitter here…), then you’ll probably be a bit disappointed at Babylonstoren. At their wine tasting you’ll only get drops. But hey, it’s all about the atmosphere! You can book different tasting flights for the wine tasting. Make sure you be there on time because they close at 5 in the afternoon.

Hotel x Babylonstoren

Although I haven’t stayed at Babylonstoren hotel myself, it should be really great. The rooms are so pretty! The next time I’m going to Cape Town, I’ll definitely try to book a night there so I can experience it myself.

The area around Babylonstoren is really beautiful. The property is surrounded by mountains which gives this idyllic vibe. From Cape Town it’s about an hour drive to the vineyard.
