Twice a year it is party time for the fashion world. Fashion Weeks are held in several fashion cities in February and September. From Milan to London; fashion girls look their finest, the designers show their amazing collections and afterwards they all drink fashionable drinks with each other at the after parties.

But something has changed the last couple of years. Not only the fashion on the catwalk matters, but also on the outside trends are born through what the visitors are wearing. During the Fall Fashion Week in New York this September, we spotted one trend that we really like. It might remind you of preppy school girls, but skirts and sweaters are totally in this season.
The nice thing about this trend is that you can easily give your own twist. For example, you can combine a pretty pencil skirt with an oversized sweater, or a playful pleated skirt with a knitted sweater.
