Do you still think that there are only brown cafe’s and extremely touristy spots in the center of Amsterdam? Well, think again! ;-) You can find so many nice restaurants in the Haarlemmerbuurt and the Jordaan, the Wallen,  Nine Streets, the Canal District, and right in the center. From fine dining to a quick or casual bite to eat. Take a look at our list with 55 restaurants in Amsterdam city center.

HAARLEMMERBUURT and JORDAAN

Apostrof: a nice bistro where you can eat delicious French food, we definitely recommend that you try the smoked salmon.
De Pizzabakkers: 
pizza’s with a thin crust and the best toppings is what you can get at De Pizzabakkers.
Boca’s: shared dining is a big thing at Boca’s, perfect for a night out with your friends or your lover.
Meneer Nieges: this hotspot is one that you’ll want to tick off your bucketlist, just like their bbq meat dishes, they’re so good.
L’ Invité: 
go for a 3, 4, or 4 course meal with a French vibe!
SLA: 
for fresh salads that you can put together yourself.
Brandstof: 
a great all-day spot where you can have a very nice dinner. 
Hummus Bistro: 
you can order the best hummus and falafel at Hummus Bistro.
Salmuera: a great restaurant with Argentinian cuisine with a modern coating. Lots of meat from the grill, but also a ceviche bar!
Festina Lente: a favorite eatery in the Jordaan! For a good price you can eat delicious dishes. Order a few different dishes; nice to share.
Toscanini: for the best Italian food.
Mos: dinner with a view! At Mos you can enjoy French-international cuisine while looking out at the IJ.
JD Williams Whisky Bar: for asian dishes and the best whisky cocktails.

Mata Hari: a super nice restaurant right on the Wallen where you can eat Italian dishes.
Bar Jones: a hidden spot close to the Dam, this place will take you back in time.
Restaurant Anna: high quality food in an informal setting!

Libertine Café: our favorite all-day hotspot is even more cosy in the evening. The atmosphere is always good, just like the food.
Jansz: the perfect spot for date night! Get dressed up and enjoy a great night at this modern restaurant.
Burgerlijk: the best burger in the Nine Streets can be found at Burgerlijk. You can also put together your own burger here.

CANAL DISTRICT

De Luwte: a hidden gem on the canals, at De Luwte you can order Mediterranean dishes, so good! 
Poké Perfect:
 thé place in the center where you need to order poké bowls.
Guts & Glory: the menu at Guts & Glory is very nice; every day they have different dishes on their menu!
Kitchen & Bar Van Rijn: a nice, hip restaurant on the Rembrandtplein. The vibe here is very relaxed and the cocktails are so good.
La Cage: eating, drinking, and dancing. At this French restaurant / cocktailbar you can get it all.
Ron Gastrobar Oriental: a gastrobar with an Asian touch! Order lots of small dishes to share. So nice!
Ellis Gourmet Burger: burgers, burgers, burgers, and more burgers. They also have a veggie or a skinny variety, so there’s something there for everyone.
Ô Mai: a personal favorite at Yourlbb, located on the Utrechtsestraat! You can get authentic Vietnamese food here.
Ali Ocakbaşi: this Turkish restaurant started in Turkey, but now has many spots all around the world. So you can expect real, authentic dishes!
Lotti’s: het restaurant van het hippe The Hoxton Hotel.

Cannibale Royale: for late night dining and good meat you need to go to Cannibale Royale.
The Duchess: one of the restaurants that’s part of the W hotel in Amsterdam. Put on your nicest outfit and enjoy a night of good food.
Wolf Atelier: you can order a 6 course menu of tartare here, how good is that?
Jon Dory: at Jon Dory you can get delicious fish dishes for a nice price.
Choux: at walking distance  from central station you’ll find restaurant Choux. Go for the 3, 4, or 7 course menu.

Restaurant Vermeer: this Michelin-star restaurant can’t be left out of this list, of course. You should definitely try it out.
Pressroom: you can go here for lunch or dinner, this restaurant in the INK hotel is a real recommendation. They serve delicious small dishes, and in the weekend there’s a DJ that plays nice lounge music.
