The Fat Dog Amsterdam for bubbly and hotdogs by Ron Blaauw
New hotspot The Fat Dog Amsterdam is now open! Is it a pub? Or is it a hotdog place? Or both?! Ron Blaauw (from the Michelin star restaurant Ron Gastrobar) opened a new hotspot in De Pijp in Amsterdam. The Fat Dog Amsterdam is the place to be for a good sausage on a bun accompanied by a glass of bubbly, good beer or gin tonic. We say best of both worlds! Who doesn’t like an artisanal hotdog :-).
The hotdogs at The Fat Dog Amsterdam come with all kinds of toppings. Order the Roy Donders (like a hotdog plain), the vega dog or the gangs of New York. I really liked the Casablanca with lam hotdog and babaganush. The other snacks on the menu made my mouth wather as well. Cans with all sorts of cremes with bread, from rilette to mackerel creme. And try the grilled sausage as well. It’s very good!
For dessert I had the apple pie. Delicious!
The concept of The Fat Dog Amsterdam is inspired by Bubbledogs in London!
Enjoy your hotdogs!
