Amsterdam is super nice in summer! Warm weather, packed terraces and everyone is having a great time! There are many hotspots in Amsterdam that are perfect for warm weather days. From city to rooftops, courtyards and the best terraces. That’s why we gathered our favourite summer hotspots Amsterdam to enjoy a day of doing nothing more than relaxing, swimming or drinking with friends.

Waterkant: Waterkant is an absolute must visit during beautiful summer days. Are all the picknick tables taken? Then sit along the quay, where there’s always enough space!

Meneer Nieges: A good summer hang out. The big terrace along the water, the flags and the lightning make Meneer Nieges a fresh hangout during hot summer days.

Canvas op de 7e: On the rooftop of The Volkshotel you can go to Canvas op de 7e. Here you enjoy the best view from the rooftop and the best drinks as well.

Café De Ceuvel: A green restaurant and bar hotspot in Amsterdam North on the waterfront. Café de Ceuvel is very laid back for drinks during the day on the weekends.

Pllek: Pllek is a restaurant with a city beach on the waterfront in Amsterdam North. A very relaxed place to go for a Sunday brunch or lunch. Great view on the Amsterdam skyline!

Dignita Hoftuin: Up for a vegetarian lunch in the Hoftuin at the Hermitage? Visit Dignita Hoftuin and enjoy the calm part of Amsterdam. Tip: the pancakes are super good!

Roest: in Amsterdam East you can visit Roest, a city beach with an industrial touch. They also have cool events going on almost every weekend.

Dok: Are you looking for the Woodstock of Amsterdam? Well, Dok is your place to go. This city beach in the Westelijke Havengebied has done everything to let you enjoy life the Woodstock style.

Hannekes Boom: Hannekes Boom is perfect for any time of the day. It’s a beach club style restaurant close to Amsterdam Central Station. Surrounded by water this place is perfect to go to by boat!

 W Amsterdam: Overviewing the city from one of the highest rooftops in town while drinking a delicious cocktail. That’s possible at W Amsterdam. For the real dare devils they even have a swimming pool here. And extra plus: this spot in the middle of the city centre.

Storm Amsterdam: At Storm Amsterdam they just have one motto: ‘chilling and grilling’. And it’s all you need when entering this beach in North. There are always so many things to do here, you will easily forget that you’re still in Amsterdam

Blijburg: is a city beach close to IJburg. Much fun to go with kids! Ps: you can swim there too.

Noorderlicht: In the garden, next to the water you can find Noorderlicht at NDSM-werf in Amsterdam North. Escape the chaos from the city and sit in the sun. In the evening you can have a nice beer and enjoy to a creaky fire.

Floor 17: One of the best rooftop terraces in Amsterdam is Floor 17. You have a great view over Amsterdam, tasty snacks and drinks and the best tunes in the evening!

Oosterpark: Now that we can’t barbecue at the Vondelpark anymore we all go to Oosterpark. Get fresh bread, meat, vegetables and fruit on the Dappermarkt and enjoy an evening out in the open air.

Lion Noir: Did you know that Lion Noir has one of Amsterdam’s most beautiful courtyards? Perfect for a drink away from all hustle and bustle, overlooking the beautiful facades of the canal houses.
