But the truth is, most of the times you get bored already after 5 minutes because there’s not much to do. Flying from Schiphol? There are enough spots to visit before and after you’ve been through the security. Want to know where you can do some great shopping and eat good food at Schiphol? We made a list for you!

Happy Seafood: Kibbeling, herring, even caviar oysters. Even if you do not get into a plane you want to go visit Happy Seafood. Yum!
Hello Goodbye Bar: The coffee and homemade sandwiches are to die for! Perfect for breakfast or lunch for in the plane!
Vlaamse Frites: This spot doesn’t need an explanation,  who doesn’t like Flemish Frites? Get a some fries or a croquet on a bread before you go on your holiday.
Toko To Go: ancing rendang, crispy krupuk udang or ayam bali, hmm I get into it right away.
Hema: Forgot some stuff at home because you were in a hurry? Hema is your life saver!
LEON: This British chain is now at Schiphol! Salads, wraps, soups or fries, something for everyone.
Lekker Hollands: Did you missed the Dutch food? Or do you think you’re going to miss it? Then take a seat at Lekker Hollands and order a sandwich with cheese, or a real Bossche Bol!
Starbucks: Early flight? Go to Starbuck to wake up in the right way.
Pizza Per Tutti: A real pizza lover? The pizzas at Pizza Per Tutti are too good! A thin crust and fresh ingredients. The perfect snack before getting on to your flight!
Albert Heijn: Of course you’ll see this supermarket at Schiphol. Get some fresh sushi to eat during your flight.

Grand Café Het Paleis: Do you want to feel like a real king or queen? Then have a drink at Grand Café Het Paleis. Either go for a drink or a fresh meal from the extensive classic menu that they have overhere before you get into the plane.
Harverst Market:
Did you not have breakfast yet? At Harvest Market you can make your own breakfast. Hangop, yogurt, cereal, organic yogurt, fresh fruit, you name it!
Bread!: At Bread! they have delicious fresh sandwiches and juices. Fill your tummy before getting on the plane.
Bubbles Seafood & Wine Bar:
Do you fly in the evening and want to spoil yourself? Then drink some wine and oysters at this bar.
News & Books: Forgot a book but you don’t want to read during your vacation? Visit News & Books to get one.
XpresSpa: Delayed flight or just in the mood to get a quick massage? XpresSpa makes sure you can go in the plane in full power and with a zen feeling. Facials, massages and even manicures and pedicures, you can have it all!

Do you need to fly early in the morning? Stay at a hotel near the airport, like Citizen M or the Hilton. You can also get yourself an Abel Taxi, they can bring you to Schiphol. How great! And another tip for frequent flyers: a Privium pas. With this pas you can get through security checks faster and there are great lounges where you can eat breakfast of have lunch.
