B. in New York City: hotspot Pig and Khao at the Lower East Side

6 August 2013

Great affordable food at Pig and Khao New York!

Looking for a hotspot restaurant in New York City? On our must-try-list is Pig and Khao. This trendy restaurant is in the Lower East Side of New York and it’s so cool over there.

Outside dining at Pig and Khao New York!

We’re so happy that we can get a table outside at Pig and Khao. The atmosphere here is very cozy! You dine on a patio between the old buildings and surrounded by many colourful lamps. On the menu at Pig and Khao is a lot of pork (oh really…) and I can definitely recommend trying. I actually hardly ever eat pork, but the pork belly with little pieces of watermelon is soooo soft and tasteful at Pig and Khao. It even makes me think I should try this more often. The taste of the food makes us think of our fantastic trips to Asia. About how great the food is there ,the sweet-sour-salty-spicy flavor explosions of the fresh herbs, vegetables and meat (of which you sometimes don’t know what it is and probably don’t want to either). That is what Pig and Khao does to you when you close your eyes and taste the food :-).

Asian pure and rough food at Pig and Khao New York

There’s a whole scene of restaurants where it’s all about pure, rough and affordable food. This Asian restaurant can be added to this list! Pig and Khao uses ingredients like whole fish, pork head (no, not a whole one) and skin, sausages and ribs, perfectly combined with soy sauce, coriander, crispy garlic, fish sauce and lemon.

If you can’t make it to dinner at Pig and Khao try this hotspot for brunch! The smaller dishes are great for shearing.
