Piadina in Amsterdam: Italian bread with delicious fillings

29 October 2015

From ITALy to Amsterdam: freshly baked Piadina bread at de pijp

Just when you think that De Pijp couldn’t get any better… Let me introduce Piadina! This spot just opened up at the Stadhouderskade. And they sell, yes, Piadina’s. For everyone who doesn’t know what Piadina is: it’s a flatbread which is baked every day in their own kitchen and filled with typical Italian products.

Next to Piadina (their speciality), you’ll also find Crescioni on the menu. Crescioni is a sort of calzone made of Piadina dough and filled with traditional Italian products. Think of praga ham, mozzarella di Buffalo and pesto alla Genovese! This spot is ideal for a quick lunch, to go or just to stay, it’s all possible!

Also typical Italian is an aperitivo and Piadina is a good place for your after work aperitivo. Enjoy a glass of bubbles with a platter of Piadina bread and Italian goodies, to share of course! I can’t wait to visit Piadina!
