Café Parlotte

Café Parlotte is a favorite every day of the year, especially on New Year’s Eve. Few catering establishments in Amsterdam have owners and staff with so much love for the profession. Their wine and champagne selection (also non-alcoholic!) is also excellent, and owner Margot talks with the greatest love about its origin. The menu at Parlotte consists mainly of shared dining, of which the vongole shells are a bestseller.

Corner store

At Cornerstore you can enjoy Asian-inspired cuisine and a buzzing atmosphere. During the weekends there are plenty of vinyl records being played, and New Year’s Eve will be no different. It is one of our favorite restaurants in Amsterdam for New Year’s Eve.

Kikkie

It’s always party time at Kikkie van de Prinsensluis, and on December 31st it will only become more exuberant. In the setting of a brown Amsterdam pub, you can enjoy natural wines, champagne, and of course, their famous snacks and dinner.

Arie

De Pijp is of course bursting with excellent restaurants, but Arie is a special one. The menu is straightforward and no-nonsense, with highlights such as sourdough bread with herb butter, mackerel rillette, and steak tartare – precisely what you fancy next to a glass of champagne. The atmosphere at Arie is always relaxed and old-Amsterdam cozy, thanks to the nice regulars and the dark wooden interior.

Cecconis

Italian dining at a high level: that’s what you do at Cecconi’s. There is often an experienced pianist behind the enormous grand piano, and on New Year’s Eve, they go the extra mile, including a special menu. For €195 per person, they serve an Italian five-course menu with cicchetti and starters to share.

Where Mister Nieges was located for many years, Vooges Aan ‘t IJ is now located. The owners are not unknown in the catering world: they previously owned businesses in Haarlem, Bloemendaal, and Zandvoort. It is, therefore, not surprising that they can create a relaxed beach vibe, and we think that is the perfect setting to celebrate the new year. Inside, Vooges feels more like a French restaurant, including white linen on the tables and simple wooden chairs.
