Afternoon Tea at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Amsterdam

19 November 2014

Heavenly Afternoon Tea at the Peacock Alley!

I love Afternoon Tea. It’s so festive! Perfect if you have something special to celebrate. With your love or friends. The chic Waldorf Astoria hotel in Amsterdam serves Afternoon Tea starting at € 42,50. This special Afternoon Tea is created by Executive Chef Sidney Schutte (who formerly worked at De Librije) and the twist of De Librije is clearly noticeable.

To celebrate the birthday of my love I booked the Afternoon Tea a few weeks ago. And I have to say, WOW this is a must try. We started the afternoon delights with a glass of bubbly to celebrate the good life. Perfect!

Waldorf Afternoon Tea

The Afternoon Tea is served at the Peacock Alley of the Waldorf Astoria hotel. It’s classic and stylish I have to admit I can enjoy the classy vibe very much. Dress up and you will have a great afternoon out. Afternoon Tea is served daily between 3 and 5 pm.

After de bubbly they served us the food. A platter full of deliciousness! They serve the Afternoon Tea in once, but it are actually two courses. A savoury course and a sweet course. If you dined at De Librije before you will recognise some of the iconic bites like the “Kiss of Thérèse” and the lollipop with duck liver. I liked all the tastes from the Afternoon Tea. Couldn’t have thought of a better way to celebrate my love his birthday :-)!
