Canvas op de 7e Amsterdam: rooftop dining Volkshotel

20 July 2014

From lunch to clubbing at Canvas op de 7e in Amsterdam!

The Volkshotel is open and so is its restaurant Canvas op de 7e.  For those of you that went to Canvas op de 7e before they remodeled the Volkskrant building I can tell you that it changed a lot. The interior of the restaurant is modern with a blue bar as the eye catcher. For the warm weather days there’s a large rooftop and a small rooftop now called Petit Canvas. Both rooftops are open during clubnights on the weekends. But back to the restaurant now :-).

The food at Canvas!

Canvas op de 7e is the coolest rooftop restaurant in Amsterdam. Perfect for dinner with friends! The food menu had an upgrade and so did the quality. I went to Canvas with friends for dinner and we all loved the food!

For starters I recommend to order the four small dishes to share. All delicious, like: burrata and wraps with duck. For my main course I had the onglet which was also very good! End your dinner with the cheese platter and I’m sure you had a great meal. The food is very affordable too, all mains are € 16,50 and under.

Stay around for Club Canvas

After dinner Canvas op de 7e is perfect to stay for drinks. After 11 pm the restaurant in Amsterdam East turns into Club Canvas. The view of the sunset from this rooftop in Amsterdam is amazing!

Have you been to the Volkshotel yet?
