Nieuw Terrein Amsterdam: a vegan pop-up where you want to go right now

31 May 2017

pop-up Nieuw Terrein Amsterdam is your go to on sunday and monday

Nieuw Terrein Amsterdam is a vegan pop-up in restaurant La Maria in the Rivierenbuurt, where we really want to go, before it’s too late … Siem Feijen and Hunter Blackburn wanted to start something for themselves for a long time already and noticed that wine bar La Maria is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Since then, the two men are cooking delicious meals two days a week and getting one positive reaction after another.

Nieuwsgierig?

Got curious? Until September, you can get a table at Nieuw Terrein where they cook only vegan dishes. Ps: at the end of August, the owner of  La Maria’s goes on a holiday and, as it seems right now, Nieuw Terrein Amsterdam will be open for five days a week. Pfieuw, more chance to try out that vegan dinner!nieuw terrein amsterdam

The men serve a three (€ 25) or four course menu (€ 30) which consists of vegetables, lots of vegetables, of the season. Nice: Every two weeks the menu changes and even the men themselves do not know what’s going to be on the menu. The products that they use are all local and that offer may chance from time to time. we don’t mind, now we have a reason to come back every two weeks ;-).

What to expect at Nieuw Terrein? Roasted Broccoli & Radicchio with shalot cream, lentil sprouts & sour onion. I dropped my eye on one of the desserts: a merengue with strawberry and rhubarb in a syrup of vanilla and vanilla cream. Doesn’t that sound delicous?!
