These are six movies that you want to see this December. From intriguing documentaries to the real deal feel good ones.

Gek van Geluk (from December 7)

In Gek van Geluk, single mother Lena has little inspiration for writing love songs, because of the lack of romance in her life. Singer and best friend Valerie then hires an unemployed actor to bring Lena’s head to the brink of inspiration. However, when Lena becomes madly in love, she no longer feels the need to write a new hit single. Valerie then confronts Lena with the harsh reality. We have been to the premiere last week and can absolutely recommend this movie! ;-)

Paddington 2 (from December 6)

Secretly we are really excited about this film! In the film, Paddington is now settled with the Brown family and a welcome figure in the neighbourhood. In his own awkward way, he struggles from one job to another to make money for a beautiful present for the hundredth birthday of Aunt Lucy. When he finally has a nice idea for a gift, it is stolen. Paddington gets the blame and ends up in jail…

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (from December 13)

OH YES, the saga continues. In the new Star Wars: The Last Jedi, new characters from Star Wars: The Force Awakens join legendary Star Wars icons. In the new film, ancient mysteries about the Force and shocking revelations from the past are revealed… We are curious ;-)

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (from December 21)

In this film, four students encounter an old game console and when they turn it on they accidentally end up in the world of the video game, called Jumanji, by magical powers. There they get the body of the characters in the game. To escape from the game, they have to play all sorts of dangerous levels by working together. A cozy family film that you don’t want to miss this winter!

Wonder Wheel (from December 21)

Justin Timberlake and Kate Winslet join forces in the latest film by Woody Allen, which takes place in the famous amusement park on Coney Island in the fifties. A Woody Allen movie with sun, sea, carousels and gangsters, what more could you want? ;-)

Visages, villages (from December 7)

In this documentary, director and photographer Agnès Varda and quirky artist JR travel together through France and portray the people they meet. Their journey creates a bond in which they find each other as artists and make the landscape a museum. Their worlds of experience come together in Visages Villages.
