Momofuku Noodle Bar is the famous local ramen noodles slurp spot
Who’s up for a warm big bowl of filling salty and healthy broth filled with noodles, grilled chicken, poached egg and seaweed?
During our time in New York a lot of locals were telling me about the great Momofuku. And how can I leave this city without trying its awesome stuff myself?
Momofuku has several locations in New York where you can go for a low-key meal or for a chic dinner (like 2 Michelin stars chic $$$). Check out all the Momofuku spots.
We recently had a terrific milkshake at Momofuku Milk Bar in Williamsburg, but today we’re finally going to slurp these ramen noodle babies in the East Village at Momofuku Noodle Bar. Be prepared to wait a bit but the line goes fast. This also means there’s no after dinner time here. But hey, why wait any longer to move over to your next listed hotspot.
So what are ramen noodles? It’s one big bowl of noodle broth with or without meat, veggies, egg, seaweed and more happiness.
Friday and Saturday the kitchen is open until 2am. A perfect midnight snack if you ask me. And you’ll be thankful the next day.
If you can still move after this huge and filling meal you NEED to go to dessert bar Chikalicious around the corner. Here I had one of the best desserts ever, their famous Mint-Chocolate Lava Cake. It needs to go into the oven for 15 minutes, but after that you’ll get your full and rich dark chocolate soufflé, filled with mint-sauce-pleasure that runs out like hot steaming lava when opening up the fluffy outside. And a little mint-ice cream on the side. My God! Lava lava this!
