Mercado de la Reina Madrid: tapas hotspot

I love discovering new places. Mercado de la Reina Madrid was pointed out to me by my blogging sisters of My Little Madrid, an awesome city blog about Madrid similar to my Amsterdam based little black book. Mercado de la Reina Madrid is an hotspot with actually three hotspots in one: a tapas bar, a restaurant and a gin bar. Try the Mojigin cocktail if you’re normally a Mijito lover like me ;-). We went to Mercado de la Reina Madrid for a very late lunch with tapas. This trendy bar has a lovely olive tree in the middle with a table where you can enjoy your tapas. The rest of the seats are at the bar where you can overlook the vitrines with delicious tapas. The tapas at Mercado de la Reina Madrid are pincho style and I can very much recommend the pulpo, goat cheese with tomato, jamon with emmentaler and the wild mushroom. What I really like about Madrid is that the wines are so good and quite cheap. At Mercado de la Reina Madrid I had great wine for only € 1,90 a glass… Wish they had that in Amsterdam ;-). Te dinner menu at Mercado de la Reina Madrid also looks delicious, so on a next trip I will definitely check that out too. Mercado de la Reina Madrid is quite a new place and I would say it’s one to stay!
