Le Baravin Amsterdam: a new wine bar and French paradise in the Pijp

Le Baravin Amsterdam brings france to the pijp

Are you in love with the French kitchen and her beautiful wines? Then Le Baravin Amsterdam, a new wine bar and French paradise in the Pijp is where you want to go. The French Caroline Moisson and Anthony Mariotti worked for years on the French restaurant and are almost ready for the grand opening. After years of working for the radio, TV and journalistic work they decided to examine the French cuisine and even did a wine study at WSET (Wine and Spirit Education trust) in London. Not much later, the two decided to open a wine bar in Amsterdam. A wine bar where you can only order French wines and French dishes made with French products.

So French dishes, what should we think of? Meat and cheese platters, bites such as escargots, oysters, caviar and terrines and a ‘plat du jour‘ & ‘dessert du jour‘ that changes every 2 to 4 days. The focus is of course on French cuisine, but not regular food; ‘Mom’s Kitchen’! Of course, you have to taste one of the 100 French wines with your food.

le baravin amsterdamAlthough the interior is still a surprise, we can already tell you that it will be a colourful, feminine but mostly cozy spot. Ánd that the owners are a huge fan of design!

Nice: the name Le Baravin means wine bar in French, even though you write it in French as; ‘Le Bar à Vin‘.
