Hotspot & Lifestyle update #29 & #30

25 July 2014

A new format for the weekly Hotspot & Lifestyle updates. Hope you like it!

In this update I share my lifestyle favourites and latest discoveries from week 29 & 30. Love the summer! It’s all about travelling and Amsterdam is so beautiful. I’m working on some very exciting things which I will share on Yourlbb soon :-).

You can follow my daily discoveries via social media here: Twitter (@yourLBB) or Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest at ‘yourLBB’

Round the clock (from upper left corner):

Nacional: Last week Nacional opened the doors officially. Super central location close to Leidseplein (perfect for a coffee break or lunch while shopping in Amsterdam) and a very NY meets Paris interior design.

Buitenwesten: Oh man, I LOVE the festival season! For Buitenwesten my hair stylist at Salon B even did my hair and gave me this super cool edgy look. Thanks Floor!

Burrata: whenever I spot a Burrata on the menu I order it! This delicious photo was taken in Istanbul at the new hotspot Colonie. In Amsterdam you can eat Burrata at Koevoet or make it at home and shop it at Marqt.

MH17: No words for the incident with MH17. So sad… :-_(

Most beautiful fruit salad I ever had: My love and I stayed the night at the beautiful Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam. Very special! I wanted to stay there forever…

Volkshotel: super hip(ster), affordable and with the best view from the rooftop restaurant. That’s the Volkshotel! Sleeping in this room is an all Dutch experience. The bed is made from a huge cargo bike!

Canvas op de 7e: dinner with friends on a rooftop from where you can see your own house. Love it! Canvas op de 7e is the restaurant of the Volkshotel and a must try if you ask me. Super affordable food, friendly staff and a great place to stay for drinks and dancing after dinner.

Iced coffee please!: Iced coffee and home made lemonade are my favourite summer drinks! So it was about time to find the perfect recipe to make iced coffee at home. I found it on the blog of my blogger friend uitpaulineskeuken.nl! You can read it on Yourlbb here.
PS: more hotspots are in the Amsterdam Little Black Book. A city guide to Amsterdam with the best restaurants, shops and things to do. Always new addresses coming up so check out your online Little Black Book daily for the latest hotspots in town!
