Happyhappyjoyjoy Amsterdam Oost: 2nd location is open!

31 May 2016

Happyhappyjoyjoy amsterdam east is open!

Yes! At Yourlbb we were very happyhappy when we heard the news that Happyhappyjoyjoy is opening a second location in Amsterdam! This means even more Asian streetfood and shared dining, who doesn’t want that?

After the news about the second location was out in the open, we still had to wait on the exact location in Amsterdam-East. Would it be in the Indische buurt or more nearby Roest? And then the news came out: Happyhappyjoyjoy Amsterdam East will open its doors in the building of Panama on the Oostelijke Handelskade. There were until recently Mercat was housed. But indeed, the Spanish tapas and paella had to make room for the asian streetfood of Happyhappyjoyjoy. But for Happyhappyjoyjoy even better. Because in contrast to their location at the Bilderdijk this new one has a huge terrace.

The news about the second location was already out, but the location was still a secret. Now we know where Happyhappyjoyjoy is going to come: in the building of Panama at the Oostelijke Handelskade. There where Mercat is now. SHOCK! because it means that Mercat will close it doors in the end of april!

So now location number two, with huge terrace, is open! From now on you can also go here for the best bao buns, hot & spicy shrimps, Har Kau and Shoa Mai. And of course the interior here is as cool as the first one. Another plus: the cosy Chinese lanterns are not just hanging inside, but also in the garden. Cannot wait to spend the summer nights there!

So from May 2016 you’ll get the steamed bun with pork belly and Peking duck (sooo good!), steamed dumpling with pork, shrimp, Chinese mushroom and vegetarian tempura also at Happyhappyjoyjoy in Amsterdam East.
