4 well-being concepts in one at this new sports club in Amsterdam

Oh dear, I can feel I have been working my butt of yesterday. I checked out the new sports gym great in Amsterdam Old South and I must say I’m impressed.

This brand-new sport and health Club opened its doors this week. Located in the center of the beautiful neighborhood Amsterdam Old-South, just a few steps from the Van Baerlestraat, it’s a perfect place for people that live or work in the area.

I’m amazed by all the facilities. All new equipment and check out the screens on the machines: Youtube, tv, internet, all the media you need to keep you motivated, with an app you can see your results at any given moment.
As a member you can make use of the Finn sauna, the steam room, the cooldown room and the infrared room (incredible if you happen to have some muscle pain).

Gijs, one of the personal trainers, made me experience how it feels like to get a REAL workout. And let me tell you these guys aren’t kiddin’. I have been doing a lot of training and classes but we didn’t do the exercises this way. Something I can really feel now… Ouch…
As all the trainers there are well educated you’ll learn a lot about your own body and how you should train to get result. Lesson 1: there’s no perfect schedule for everyone to follow. Lesson 2 (my favorite): I’m not going to loose a lot of weight by standing on a cardio-to-hell machine for hours. Sounds like music to my ears….

After your workout, get a massage. Your muscles will thank you for it. I was lucky to get a massage from the well-known Scent of Bali Massage Studio in Amsterdam. It reminded me to get one more often. What can I say, my body just really needs it! It keeps the stress away and it will help against muscle pain.

Now what makes this ‘Performance Club’ different from other gyms? To me it’s all the wellbeing facilities together in one membership.
