Goldfinch Brasserie Amsterdam: lunch favourite at the Waldorf Astoria

2 April 2015

We love to go out for lunch in style sometimes!

If you think about the Waldorf Astoria, you probably think about Librijes Zusje Amsterdam. But did you know they also have the Goldfinch Brasserie? Very good and much more affordable than its sister next doors. I think going for lunch at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in Amsterdam is so much fun to do. Going out with your love to chic places every now and then is just very nice! So if you want to spoil yourself with a fancy lunch or dinner… Goldfinch Brasserie may be your place.

Menu x Goldfinch Brasserie Amsterdam

We enjoyed a 3-course lunch with beautiful wines a few weeks back. It was a sunny day and just perfect to be at Goldfinch Brasserie with the view on the garden of the Waldorf AstoriaChef Sidney Schutte designed a 2-course menu for € 36,- or 3-courses for € 46,-. But of course there’s the á la carte menu as well!

The steak tartare of beef is a must try! So delicious and also available as a main course. I had the crispy mackerel filet, also very good! For the main courses the open lobster ravioli is delicious. I have to admit that I LOVE everything with lobster in it. One of the signature dishes you have to try is the “Duck Pie”. A pie with potato puree, spring onion, white sesame, minced duck and orange. This is a dish where you truly go back for to Goldfinch Brasserie!
