8 x exhibitions in amsterdam to see in february

EYE Museum – Béla Tarr – Till the End of the World: Béla Tarr is one of the world’s most influential film authors of the past thirty years. He made gorgeous continuous shots and made heavy movies like Turin Horse. After this movie he decided to quit filming. But especially for EYE he took out his camera again.
January 21 till May 7 2017

FOAM – Ren Hang – Naked/Nude: Ren Hang is one of my favourite photographers who I follow on Instagram for years. And we can finally see his work at FOAM. Ren Hang photographed naked shameless young adults (mostly Chinese) for the exhibition Naked/Nude with some pretty bizarre accessories like peacocks, fish, cherries, and flowers.

Amsterdam Museum – 100 Jaar Schiphol – Klaar voor Vertrek: On September 19, 1916 the first plane landed on a piece of land in Haarlemmermeer. There was no runway yet, only four wooden sheds. This exhibition is a timeline showing one hundred years of Schiphol Airport, from a muddy pasture to a high-tech airport. We’re getting travel cravings!
September 16 till May 7 2017

Stedelijk museum – Ed van der Elksen – Verliefde Camera: At Stedelijk museum you can go to the exhibition Verliefde Camera from Ed van der Elsken.
