Yep, yök Casa + Cultura in Barcelona is hot
Located at a great spot, right at the hip el Borne and adjacent Eixample area and also at walking distance from the big shopping area here in Barcelona, yök Casa + Cultura is the place to be.
Smart Catalan Interior Eco-Design
We just love how the rooms are decorated. It’s visible that this is the work of an interior designer that knows what she’s doing.
Here it’s all eco-friendly. The kitchen has been made of up cycled (driftwood) pallets. Smart water and energy savers are being used. The rooms are decorated with vintage pieces and items from local designers. It all matches so well together. At lot of thought has been put into this place.
The beautiful mosaic tile floor is one of the highlights of the apartments. Be-au-ti-ful! The building is from 1900 and gladly the owners kept the original floors. Since I’ve been here I know that I really need a floor like this for my home too.
Not your typical B&B or apartment rental place
Every morning the hosts and also owners Mari and Petz have a complimentary typical Spanish breakfast ready for their guests on the stunning rooftop terrace. With a view like this our day couldn’t have started better. On the left we see the Sagrada Familia, right in front of us is the sea and on the right we have the beautiful Montjuïc.
Do you want to visit the latest hotspots, are you looking for the best paella or do you need help with anything? At breakfast (or whenever) the girls will tell you all you need to know. We love this personal and friendly approach. And we got a lot of great input for the Barcelona City Guide. :-)
They plan lots of cool events for their guests and locals (drinks at the terrace, tours through the hood, DIY design workshops). So follow yök Casa + Cultura on Instagram and Facebook.
This ecological hotspot is different. It’s refreshing, it’s sustainable, right there in the middle of the city, but still in a quiet and relaxing spot. You can see that the girls really care. Care about their guests, about the environment, about really adding something to the neighborhood.
Like the girls say: “this is a place to be, not a place to stay the night”. And boy, did they achieve this or what! Thanks again ladies for a wonderful stay!
This is B.!
She loves to travel like a good YLBB correspondent should. The most beautiful and awesome places she wants to share with anyone who’s up for it.
