Low budget food at Wunderbar Rotterdam!
Are you low on cash, but still want to live a little and eat out sometimes? Although it’s not quite the fancy place, but the German sausages (Big Knack and the lamb sausage are recommended to me) at Wunderbar in Rotterdam are very delicious and not expensive at all. If you’re not really in the mood for some sausages then you could also go for the daily dish for just 5 euro! The daily dish varies every day; this could be a stew, mashed potatoes or whatever they feel like making that day.
Wunderbar is right at the opposite of the hip Witte de Withstraat and is supposedly an addition to WORM, an organisation for all kinds of different (alternative) concerts, film screenings, lectures, parties, workshops, seminars and publications. So after your meal you can definitely walk to the other side of the building for a fun movie night or maybe something else.
Interior x Wunderbar
The entire interior at Wunderbar screams fun and it feels personal, but it couldn’t be anything else since the whole space is decorated by the crew of WORM. They for example put some wooden furnitures together from scratch and picked up recycled items to give the space some more personality. They also created a little space in a corner just for people who likes to work outdoors. At Wunderbar Rotterdam there is free WiFi for everyone, so handy!
Fun to know: They have many different kinds of German drinks at Wunderbar from Fritz-Kola, Mongozo beer, Wostock cola and more. All very popular in German, so definitely worth trying out.
