Washing, eating and working at The Laundromat Café in Reykjavik
In Reykjavik there’s a nice multitask hotspot called The Laundromat Café. And it so happens that I love multitasking. I’ll always have my laptop or iPad on my lap while watching TV, while I’m cooking I tend to check my favourite websites on my phone and the most phone calls I take are while I’m in the car. So it isn’t so strange that I immediately liked the concept of Laundromat in Reykjavik!
This Danish concept already exists in Copenhagen since 2004, it was even one of the first cafes with free internet. You can go to The Laundromat Café the entire day to do your laundry. And while you’re doing that you can have a proper organic breakfast, a lovely sandwich or a juicy burger.
The Laundromat Café in Reykjavik is like a typical cafe where you can hang out pretty much all day. There are mostly fun young students and hipsters here. The café also has super cool interior: a lot of wood, world map wallpaper, books that are sorted by colour and retro and vintage items. Friendly staff and great service!
Tip: Are you in Reykjavik for a few days? Then do a culinary tour to check out the best restaurant hotspots! In our list the best restaurants in Reykjavik are: Kol, Snaps, Fish Company, Grill Market and Fish Market.
