great steak restaurants in Amsterdam for good meat

Once in a while, or actually quite a lot of times, we feel like eating a big, juicy piece of meat. You’re right away thinking of a steak right?! At Yourlbb we love steak and that’s why we listed the the best steak restaurants in Amsterdam. Make sure you put this new hotspot in your to-go list ;-).

18 x steak restaurants in amsterdam for you and your friends

Loetje: All time favourite steak restaurant in Amsterdam is of course Loetje! It’s no wonder that they opened up several spots in Amsterdam including one in East! Do you also order the steak Bali with spicy gravy? Don’t forget to ask for white bread, secretly it’s the best to dip this in the leftover gravy.

Carnivoresmokebbq: At Carnivoresmokebbq in South you can get the best meat from the bbq. Think of spare ribs, pulled pork and of course steak. You’ll get the BBQ Beef Rips. Smoked and with a nice bite. Like they say themselves: y’all still gonna lick your fingers!

Mr. Porter: You can find this spot in the previous Rijkskantoorgebouw in the middle of the centre and is the restaurant of W Hotel. The interior is classic and modern, there is a rooftop, open kitchen and a 360 degrees bar. The cosmopolitan cocktails and great steaks complete the picture!

Venus & Adonis: One of our all time favourites! At Venus & Adonis it’s shared dining so that’s perfect to try all the delicious dishes on the menu. The Adonis steak is amazing and it’s so great that you can also order Surf & Turf! We love steak but fish and steak is even better. This hotspot in the Jordaan is a must visit!

Cannibale Royale: Three  locations where you can eat good steak! The terrace of Cannibale Royale at Ruysdealkade in the Pijp is perfect for the last bit of sunshine. But also the locations at the Handboogstraat and the Lange Niezel are very good steak spots. They have 4 steaks on the menu, ranging from 200 till 1000 gram! Don’t forget to order the skinny fries.

Black & Blue: At Black & Blue in the Jordaan they know what to do best. And that are steaks, steaks and steaks! Here the biological pieces of meat are made with love and brought to you straight from the charcoal grill. Our recommendation? The rub-eye angus beef for 2!

The Roast Room: If you love steak The Roast Room is a must visit. This location at the Rivierenbuurt has two concepts under one roof: The Roast Bar and the Rotisserie. One is a relaxed bar for drinks and food and the restaurant upstairs has an awesome view. Amazing steaks are to order fresh from own butcher. The butcher is established in the middle of The Roast Bar on ground floor. Do we need to say more?

Red: Of course Red cannot be excluded from this list. For years this place is in the top list for some good piece of meat. And when you look at the menu, you’ll understand why. Not only do you get different types of tournedos, you also get delicious lobster here. The Surf & Turf offers you the best of both world. With who are you going to share this dish?

Café Carbon: At Café Carbon at The Pijp you will be taken back to a time where people still ate with their hands. Just warning! This restaurant has a very relaxed atmosphere with a varied menu. But of course you go here especially for a good piece of meat. The motto of Café Carbon is sharing is caring. The 1000 gram T-bone steak is perfect to share with your friends! And even better: they also have a location in Amsterdam South!

Castell: Not a super cool hotspot, but definitely a restaurant that has to be on this list. You probably passed Castell on the Lijnbaansgracht a 100 times… From the outside the place doesn’t really stand out, but when inside… Inside it feels like you enter a ranch in Argentina. And that’s also something you taste right away!

Café Panache: Café Panache in West is maybe not a typical steak restaurant but the Côte de Boeuf of 600 gram is to die for! For the rib eye lover there is one on the menu. Café Panache is also great to enjoy a tasty cocktail at the bar after your dinner.

The Uptown Meat Club: When talking about the best steak restaurants in Amsterdam The Uptown Meat Club can also not be forgotten. At this meat valhalla on the van Baerle you can enjoy meats & drinks at one of the higher tables or just sit at the bar. A good steak from the grill is the perfect place to close the day!

Morgan & Mees: Just around the corner of the Jordaan you will find Morgan & Mees. In this beautiful building with a equal beautiful interior you can enjoy the Steak Frites: Black Agnus Bavette with carrots and red wine sauce and of course fries! Morgan & Mees has a varied wine menu so don’t forget to order a good glass of red wine.

Lotti’s Bar en Grill: Lotti’s in The Hoxton Hotel central Amsterdam, has a super cool interior and they serve the rib eye and T-bone steak off the grill! Not in the mood for an after dinner dip? On Thursday till Sunday there is a DJ in the bar to stay awake.

Smokin Barrels: is known for it’s surf and turf, but the South American steak here can’t be forgotten. Everything is grilled on real smoking barrels. So good! A must visit in East.

Café de Klos: Not a hotspot at all, but they do are famous for their delicious pieces of meat. Spare ribs, steaks, lamb chops… At Café de Klos they serve finger licking good dishes!
