Sons of Essex: a New York Lower East Side’s restaurant and bar

Sons of Essex New York for old school hip hop and food

When I first heard of Sons of Essex I was triggered by its website. Very street wise, old school hip hop, and cool design. So I thought let’s check Sons of Essex out on my next trip to New York. Sons of Essex New York is located in the Lower East Side on Essex Street (right across the trendy pawn shop / restaurant Beauty and Essex). If you’re into old school hip hop music Sons of Essex if the place to go! The interior makes you feel like stepping into a bar during the roaring twenties. Love it! Sons of Essex New York has a very affordable menu, which is nice cause it saves you money for more shopping ;). They do take out coffee as well, at the little coffee shop at the front of the restaurant. I can highly recommend the brunch on Sunday. Off course you order a cocktail or two to wash away last night’s hangover :-). Staff is very friendly and the atmosphere relaxed and laid back. Check out their agenda on the website before you go and dance the night away at Sons of Essex New York! PS: the Lower East Side is a bit more rugged tat night than Broadway… in case you didn’t know ;).
