Poke Perfect Amsterdam: first Hawaiian restaurant in Amsterdam

at poke perfect amsterdam it’s all about the delicious poke bowl!

Not so long ago the classic sushi roll made place for sushi in a bowl. A trend that we love, because it’s so much easier and faster than all that difficult rolling. And now there’s even more great news, because the successor of the sushi bowl is approaching. Last week the first poké bowl restaurant in Amsterdam opened the doors! At Poke Perfect Amsterdam it’s all about poké (poh-kay), atheclassic Hawaiian dish, in the picture above which we LOOOOOVE if we want to eat fast and healthy.

You don’t know poké yet? It’s comparable to sushi in a bowl, also with rice and raw fish. The difference is that poke has even more variations. Yay! For example, farm-fresh tuna or salmon with fresh vegetables like avocado, soy beans or fruit such as pineapple. This super healthy fish salad is served as a starter in Hawaii and has (luckily) nothing to do with Pokémon ;-)

This makes Poke Perfect Amsterdam the very first restaurant in Amsterdam where everything is all about the poke bowl trend. Not that hungry? Poke Perfect has a perfect solution for the small appetite as well: the sushirrito. That’s everything that you normally get in a sushi roll, but then wrapped like a burrito. Sounds good, right? And super easy to order for take out and bring with you. Beside the poké you can also order delicious homemade lemonade at Poké Perfect or buy seasoning to make a poké bowl at home.

Poke Perfect Amsterdam

If you ask me Poké Perfect is one of the best fastfood concepts in Amsterdam at the moment. It’s fast, healthy and you feel like you ate a clean meal afterwards. You can eat your poké bowl there but also order it for take out or have it home delivered to your door. For the interior design of the shop they worked with a lot of natural materials like bamboo and lava that refer to Hawaii where the fish is from. The address of Poke Perfect Amsterdam is Prinsengracht 502. Check their website for the full menu!

PS: the beautiful food photos’s of the poke bowls are made by Simone’s Kitchen. In the shop itself it’s all take away so don’t expect the beautiful plates there. Just saying ;-).
