On the Roof Amsterdam: the expierence you want

14 June 2016

of the roof during on the roof amsterdam this summer!

Just a sketch of the situation: a sultry summer night. Somewhere on the roof of a building in Amsterdam. In an intimate, cozy setting you’ll hear langurous jazz sounds. Dancing in your dress or shorts. Sipping wine and enjoying the live performance on stage. The view stretches far beyond the horizon. Slowly the night falls. Mmm, sounds good right? The chance that you will experience something like this comes with On The Roof Amsterdam a bit closer.

Because on the roof of “At Sea sand ‘, an industrial building in Amsterdam-Noord, this summer again think of On The Roof fifth edition. The obvious place for a mini-concert wholly dedicated to contemporary jazz, soul and world. During the summer you can enjoy special performances here. Musicians from all over the world: Mozambique, Hungary, South Korea, Argentina and the Netherlands. For example, enter Reinier Baas, Jesse van Ruller, Joris Roelofas, Omar Mollo, Escapada and Pink Oculus on. Saying these names you do so much? Then beat. Because at On The Roof Amsterdam is good and special but not necessarily commercial music central.

Because this summer already the fifth edition of On The Roof will take place. On the rooftop of ‘Op Zeezand‘, an industrial building in Amsterdam-North. It’s the place for the series of mini-concerts that are all about contemporary jazz, soul and world. During the whole summer you can enjoy special performances here. From musicians from all over the world: Mozambique, Hungary, South Korea, Argentina and the Netherlands. Names such as Reinier Baas, Jesse van Ruller, Joris Roelofas, Omar Mollo, Escapada and Pink Oculus will perform. Haven’t heard of these names before? That just may be right. Because On The Roof Amsterdam is about good and special but not necessarily commercial music.

So everything is all about the experience at this mini-festival. And if the weather will be good, it promises to be a sensation. Because how cool is it to watch the sun sink at the end of your phenomenal view? With sounds of Cuban Jazz, tango, hip hop & soul and dreamy pop in the background? New York’s Harlem meets Amsterdam-North kind of style. The concerts will be held on the roof on June 24, July 8, July 22, August 5, 19 August and 2 September. Make sure you get your tickets on time, because there are only limited seats available.
