Monks Coffee Roasters Amsterdam: all about the best cofffee

17 August 2016

Monks Coffee Roasters Amsterdam Serves gooood coffee!

After the re-opening of Bilder & de Clercq, the arrival of Mook Pancakes and Huis van Lopez and the soon to be opened Karakter, H. Burger and TonTon Club it may be clear: the area around the Bilderdijkstraat and the De Clercqstraat is hip & happening. There’s only one thing missing: a good coffee spot. Well, hello Monks Coffee Roasters Amsterdam!

More hotspots in Amsterdam

You’ll find this brand new coffee spot next to the bookstore across Bilder & de Clercq. Where IJscuypje used to be. Patrick Abott, the owner of Monks, has rebuild the place completely and transformed it into a true coffee spot. Including a very cool interior (industrial elements), cool chairs, a long bench and a reading table.

To make sure you get the best cup of coffee, Patrick went to Australia to learn all about coffee roasting. Everything he learned has now come together in Monks Coffee Roasters Amsterdam. And a great plus: they’re open from 07.00 hours. For all the early birds among us ;-)
